Good job done over the weekend Mr Dadams, not a bad 2K either. Looks like you are starting to get the hang of the rowing lark.

Your sporting hero
Sir Pirate
Okay guys, can we have a roll call for who's going to compete at Evesham on the 9th July. I think it would be useful so once the schedule is published we'll know when and who to cheer on!

I've entered the M30-39 Lwt category for the record (weight currently 75.1kg!).

So you might as well stay close and in the draft.

oh no..no no no..whimper....that doesn't sound like fun...
Actually, I figured that if they go down, I'm sunk, but if they just slow down, it would be nice to not smack into them. I'm probably going to upgrade my brakes and get the brakes & shifters up on the handlebars instead of having the shifters down there on the whatever it is called tube. At least then I'll feel a little more comfy about being so close. The brakes on this bike right now are really really stiff and to keep your hands on the levers you have to keep your fingers extended out, which is not so good for your hands after a while.

Don't think I'll ever really want to race. Too intimidating; just group riding is exciting, and I like going fast, but if it started to get sort of aggressive and mean I think I'd really hate it and be scared. The few wipeouts I've had just by myself were nasty enough, without worrying about getting all twangled up in someone else's bike.

Off to do my 21K; it's almost tomorrow (it's 11:00) and by the time I'm done, it will be tomorrow, and will count for 6/21! I hope to grab a long bike ride after work tomorrow and can't do both on the same day for real.
I looked at the site and while I can find the "design your custom kit" link, I haven't seen anywhere that says "order a pre-designed kit". Do we have to do it by phone? If so, what do we quote? I assume "Taff Attack" should do it.
