Happy anniversary everyone,
apologies for not putting in many meters on the weekend to help the team. The thing was Saturday went to get measured for suits for my mates daughters wedding at Ystrad Mynach. Well that turned into a tour of the valleys pubs back to Cardiff, then more socialising there. Sunday got up didnt know wether i wanted a s--t or haircut all day, then monday played nine hole pub golf around Caldicot , Shirenewton , Chepstow , Caerwent and back to Caldicot on the mountain bikes. So rather than getting fit was getting fat ( not a bad thing for a pig ) had to take the mrs and mother in law to Bristol tuesday to see some American bloke? oh yes Niel Diamond. Did have little row last night and will get back in to helping the meters out now. Not a very good advert for sport but boy what a weekend.
Pooorky.

Not sure if you noticed but we have another new member, Phil Tilley. Ok he is English by birth but has been accepted into the Welsh community (well sort of). I finally managed to get him to join after pointing out that the Iron Oarsman were our nearest rivals. I'll try and get Phil to post on the w/e.

Hey Dwayne,

I hope your 2k goes well this weekend!! I'm sure you will do a great job! What is your goal? If you do an amazing time will they use that to pick you for the USIRT? I forget - what is your PB anyway?

DB

Hey fellow Taffs,

Way to go getting ahead of Team Oarsome over the past few days! Woo hoo! What a great team Taff is!
How many Taffs are planning on doing the 21k challenge on the 21st? Think of all those meters to add to the Taffy bank...

DB

Couldn't have passed them without you back on board Debra

Yes, I'm up for the HM next week - maybe a PB attempt ??

Great story Big Red (your OZ nickname Porky), would have seen a few Aussies struggling to hang on if you were doing it Down Under Great willpower by Chippy not to be part of it too !

Martin

Needed a 6:24.2 to qual for the dev squad, so I think I made it.

My goal will depend on what the coaches are looking for. Do you feel like you can get back down to the PB time? When are the actual races?

Solid result there Dwayne, well done. Mor ethan enough to qualify while still ensuring you don't impact on your preparation for the Masters (good luck with that by the way!).
