Nah, no one is saying you can do this; it's just how I'm choosing to play the game. The bikeErg meters upload seamlessly to my logbook, but once there, they don't count. In the interest of keeping myself motivated, I made note of it being mentioned (the rowErg forum, or perhaps the C2 specs) that the ratio is 2.1 bike meters being equal to 1 row meter and converted accordingly. But, I now promise to cease angsting about my bikeErg meters and sore seat on a rowing forum!

Monarch Lake in the Arapaho National Forest Recreation Area provided a good hike around the lake opportunity. We're getting a lot of smoke from Montana fires - and while our skies don't look like those from Oregon - it's not so blue sky,

Oh, but I do read PMs ... just not immediately! (Can't find the box where you request an email if you have a personal message.) Those two books were amazing; thanks for the loan. John Fairfax was apparently lacking both the fear gene and the good-sense gene, when he decided to row across the Atlantic, then the Pacific! I'm surprised that he lived till aged 74.

Image A meter at a time! They ALL add up!

Hope all our Lunie teammates who might be in the path of Irma will be safe. I see Danno has been putting in some good meters (there are no bad meters) to keep up his rowing skills in case he needs to call upon them. Ted, Teresa G, Danno and Mikkel all list Florida as locations....we will keep all of you in our thoughts.

Unexpected things happen in the sports world. Sounds like we will hear a lot about a rookie RB named Kareem. More expected: Nolan Arenado hits his 31st homer...and it was gone, baby, gone! ANOTHER four RBI game!

Batten down the hatches, Florida! Better yet, maybe get out of Dodge. The TV series Gunsmoke ran for 20 years, and "get the hell out of Dodge" was one of the expressions that Sheriff Matt Dillon (aka James Arness) would say to the Villains. Get the hell out of Dodge and don't come back. So, Irma, get the hell out of Dodge and don't come back. Hurricanes, magnitude 8.0 earthquakes, tsunamis...climate change....

You ever have a feeling that one of those "suck it up, Buttercup" bits of life is coming up? I sure do. :? I shall try to avoid the sag wagon....and be thankful that I am doing something fun while Irma barrels our way....this year's Pedal education stops include quite a few ranches, energy companies, and the Wild Animal Sanctuary. Just think - all those bikes amongst the lions, tigers and bears in Keenesburg. There is an elevated platform that allows for good viewing. The last stop on the last day is at a Bud barley facility, and where there's barley...there's beer!
