New 10K PB, still modest at: 39:58.7 (1:59.9 pace) but a big jump to my old 2016 pb of 41:15.6
Noteworty is that I did this at 21 SPM when my last "harder" 10K was 23-24 SPM at over 4 sec slower pace. The old pb was likely even higher.
I like to think that this means improved technique.

Congrats. A real pb should be a lot faster, lower rates are a great trainingtool, but for tije trials use a free rate, which should be a good bit higher.

5K PB of 19:01.2 old one was 19:22.7 from early August. Went pretty well on game plan (19:10 / 1:55 pace was target, first 3 splits were at 1:54.7) and had juice for speeding up towards the end and even decent sprint.

Oh yeah - it was my 40th bday so switched age groups - immediate leap in rankings :)

Congratulations. Are you more happy with the 21sec improvement, or annoyed that you just missed going sub-19!

Same age group as me now too - I'll watch out for you :D

1:18 Low pull. Does this count?

First time I've tried with the damper on maximum drag setting. In my warm-up with my regular 120 drag I only managed 1:21. Is this about the sort of improvement I should expect, or given my other PBs should my LP be better than it is?

yeah I reckon it counts. you can focus on it specifically and increased power helps of course with other pieces. I reckon it varies hugely from person to person but your numbers and mine are by and large pretty close including the LP at the moment. When I did my 500 pb it was lower than now but I can probably get to 1:18 at the moment.

Set in on watts, the steps per second get pretty big, watts is much more precise. For your build and times certainly not bad, not a weakness.
