My New Concept2 Bike erg
I like it more than anything C2 makes. For me it's like riding a road bike. In the real world I can see it being a good training aide for biking. How many people actually really row? I have everything C2 makes The skierg Is not to me close to real skiing. My floor doesn't have ice and snow and up hills and down hill or corners. Back to the Bike I do a lot of biking as do most people. Living in the Northeast the weather is not always the best. So this is perfect for me. I'm changing the handle bars to MTB bars. Putting clipless pedals on. A larger bell Than Minnies Just Kidding. I do most of my early morning rides Mtb with my best K9 friends. I know people will say the rower or ski is good cardio and they are. I lift weights 4 days a week. push sleds pull sleds climb ropes speed bag work etc etc. For me the bike is as close to riding a real bike as there is. Talk about cardio only thing better is Schwin Air Dyne. Also I don't use these machines to loose weight I don't have to My diet solves that

Eclipse in path of totality was worth the drive. Today it's time to hit the road and get back to Denver. Those Coloradans who went up to Wyoming had ten mile long traffic delays, and instances of low fuel availability (and were limited to purchasing $20 worth of petrol in some of the less populated towns). Seemed like forever for totality to occur, and then the two minutes and change flew by! Light was quite eerie, and ground shadows were really strange...almost like they had bubble images. Northeast will get this experience on April 8th, 2024...plan for it!

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 8.22.17

Alas, the last week's activities did not include enough erging for me to complete the Challenge meters required for the week. Still, the dog days of summer included plenty of activities for my two pups. Thing 1 and Thing2 turned out to be good travelers, although upon returning home they are trying to catch up on their dog naps this AM. Hahaha! Wore them out! Pretty sure they will bounce back to their routine fairly fast.

Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Its similar I guess I have a magnetic spin bike. C2 doesn't have all the controls and that you need on Magnetic bike. The fan and monitor is all you need. Also if you have your own you won't get everyones germs. I love it You will see Gyms order these in the future there cheaper but well built. Great for legs if your a runner. One note for Concept2 I should get a commission
Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
thanks :] i never knew that there were two types of resistance...turns out that when my club upgraded it went from friction to magnetic....now i know one reason why the ride felt smoother :}Drivetofast wrote:Its similar I guess I have a magnetic spin bike. Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Update if you are going to change Bars on your Bike erg. Make sure you take them off 1st and measure Diameter Of bar before ordering new bars. Bar is not same thickness as MTB bar Its smaller. To remove stock bars use the tool that came with bike with another screw driver in hole on end and apply pressure while turning. Righty tight Lefty loosey
When you get bars right you will have to drill small hole in bar to fit pin in clamp.
