Hi Joe,
Pardon my ignorance! How do you win the rights to choose a challenge? Thank you!

The second table on the last post shows the months since the team last had the choice which is then doubled and the number of boats for the month added - the highest number gets the nod - in the July case it is Red Line and they get the choice for November - there are always 3 months lined up like this.
The formula is designed to reduce the impact of large teams floating lots of boats by giving more emphasis to the months since last "turn" achieved.
New teams also have the right to choose after their first three continuous months entering (but have to ask!)

Perfect thank you!
Well the Cornish Gig Rowing Indoor Team wouldn't mind getting in the queue to post a challenge up if any sees this
We have a few ideas we would like to do anyway
Thank you Lindsay

You need to float a boat (with 3 heavyweights, one lightweight, one lady) for three months in a row (and beyond). Then you'll move on to Joe's eligibility list.Starks wrote: Well the Cornish Gig Rowing Indoor Team wouldn't mind getting in the queue to post a challenge up if any sees thisWe have a few ideas we would like to do anyway

Float a boat next month and you'll be good to go on the list.

Thanks Citroen
Just a quick one, i'm trying to upload some times this morning, for new rowers and existing, but it wont let me add the times? Keeps saying password incorrect for both updating another, and adding a new rower and trying to add a score?
Thanks

It's one of the quirks of the software that it pretends not to recognise new rowers when they first register. They are there and can be chosen from the drop-down list.
Lindsay had it exactly correct in describing the eligibility rules for choosing a challenge. Currently, of the new teams, RC Mantova have qualified but nobody has been in touch to claim the challenge. I've learned that the onus is best put on the claimant rather than falling on me. Cornish Gig Rowers came close but did not produce a boat in June. You may claim a challenge if boats are floated during this month and September. If you have any 60+ gents and ladies or 70+ gents on your squad, please invite them to join our 100km relay teams at Newquay on September 23. We have recruited the 11+ rowers required in each large-team category but the more, the merrier.
Bumper entry so far this month and some very powerful rows logged; I can envisage a new record for participation.
Regards,
Joe

Good to see Usain not wasting his retirement.

May be some technique issues though.

Whoever did that will get a lifetime ban from the CTC if they do it again.Kafka wrote:Good to see Usain not wasting his retirement.

I am having this problem too with just one of our rowers...have managed to submit the other times. I have tried resetting the password but is still coming up as incorrect.
