Whoop, whoop and hooyah! Thomas R has a SPORTS bag prize headed his way! Congratulations on achieving a milestone, and joining an elite group of rowers who have met this milestone, Tombeur! We wish you many, MANY more milestones and celebrations! Well done!!

And as to the gentle prompt:

Surprisingly, it IS TRUE that some meters are more qualified as lifetime meters than others : on-the-water meters, for example, will count towards an annual meters tally - but NOT towards lifetime meters), they do all stack up together in the same meter piggy bank if they were ever listed as lifetime meters. Your last meter piggy bank deposit cleared the 20 million hurdles - and hooboy! That must have been an awesome moment to see the erg odometer dial flipping over to TWENTY plus!
Thanks K2. As all these meters were earned beginning 16 days after my 70th orbit of our Sun I am indeed pleased. Resisting relocation to a nursing home! Separately, I have another question: Are the Luna-Tics on the team's second trip to the moon? If so, is someone tracking the progress?

We are on our third shuttle trip! I do keep track - I'll put an update out. And keep resisting relocation ...we Lunies are an adventurous group, and would not do well in more controlled circumstances.

Thanks, my friends, for the kind words. I hope I can continue to contribute meters long enough to help get the Luna-Tics to the moon one more time. Cynic that I am, I am surprised to discover how much your support makes it easier for me to keep at it. Once again, many thanks. Tom Rafter

Paddling trails??? Texas and Florida (and perhaps other states) have these defined networks for kayaking and canoeing. Florida....yikes...keep your hands and feet inside the boat...instead of "Iceberg, dead ahead...alligator, dead ahead!"

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

Thanks, everyone, for rowing and ski-erging with us...and journeying to the moon!

And, speaking of paddling trails, this struck me as humorous this AM...and it took me an extra second or two to find the third secret symbol....as always, I encourage you to support Bizarro! by asking your newsgroup to carry the cartoon. Life on the edge....humor on the edge...

Hahaha! I can see with my eyeball of observation that this could be a conclusion. But I liked Bizarro well before I knew about the secret symbols. Naturally I think it's fitting that I have a secret symbol - even though Dan Piraro, the cartoonist, says K2 is for his two daughters. You, Richard T, would like the secret symbol of O2 - for Olive Oyl and Popeye. There is so much cleverness in the wacky humor...it is totally awesome (but sometimes more weird than goofy). What's better is that you're all looking now for those secret symbols, too.

I found the eyeball, dynamite, and crown ... but, where, in all that's bizarro, is the K2 symbol!??

ImageTomorrow is whooooosh day so get your July meters in the meter piggy bank! Not that I'm going all Farmer's Almanac on you, but sunrise is now 22 minutes later than it was on June 30th...for me that means having to take the spotlight and do a quick survey of the yard and beyond before Thing 1 and Thing2 go bounding into the pre-dawn darkness. A family of Pepe Le Pews lives somewhere in the beyond the boundaries area (although their family numbers have been diminished by at least one recently - noting roadkill). I hope the karma of being prepared with a skunk stink remover is enough to keep what may be inevitable away for awhile! Would give a whole new meaning to stink eye....

Here is a solution for when your dogs get sprayed by Skunk

1 qt. 3 % Hydrogen Peroxide (New unopened bottle)
1/4 cup Baking soda
1-2 Teaspoons Dawn
Mix it all up in bowl put on rubber gloves and go to town. Don't get in eyes of K9 or human
Check for wounds if K9 has them straight to Vet
