So it seems. 30min PB smashed, and one of my long-time targets achieved. 8021m (previous best 7941) - virtually flat paced, picked up for the last 3 minutes. Very pleased.Gammmmo wrote:@BF - you are in the zone right now, continue to make the most of it!!

New PB on the 2k. Previous best was 7:08.0 today's time 7:01.5. Splits below:
I did this blind. I have not been doing any speed work lately and I wanted to see where my 2k time was. I flipped the PM5 up where I
could not see it and started. I started out to fast and my legs tightened up so I came close to stopping early on. Managed to
start breathing properly and finished. Was hoping to be close to 7:08 so when I saw the time and was extremely surprised.

Bonefixer / Wilkes - both awesome PBs! Wilkes - very impressive for your age / size! That's incredible. To have some left in the tank after that sizzling start especially.

I set my first PB times for 2k and 1k this weekend.
1k 3.34.4
2k 7.06.0
Pretty happy with these. Just got our rowing machine this weekend, was doing weight training for a few weeks before hand and a bit of running now and again. Looking forward to using the machine and focusing on getting my technique down and beating some times, and of course getting fit and healthy.

Thanks. Yeah i'm rowing on a WaterRower rather than Cocept2 machine. The only downside I feel is that I can't verify any of my results. I assumed that people with non Cocept machines are welcome to this forum and the logbook rankings?

NO, you can't come in here if you're not rowing on a C2 pffttt.. waterrowers not even anywhere near the same thing.
Just messing But waterrower times are far more generous than times on a C2 for the same efforts

You can't rank results with Concept2 when you're not rowing on a Concept2 machine.
I wouldn't bother putting/logging any verified results anyway, because you can't compare waterrower times to peoples times on concept 2 machines.

Please don,t! Waterrowers give different results, they are faster, so you mess up the rankings. Certainly if you are high up in the ranks.

I've removed my Ranked times so that i'm not messing with all the C2 times. Thanks for the heads up.
The water rower will still hopefully give me a beast workout and get me fit and healthy.
