WHOOP, whoop and way to be first to the first million! Congratulations, Ed, on achieving a ONE million meter season...when the season isn't even a month old. We wish you many, MANY more millions...and some great car sightings!
Thanks K2! I also surpassed the 41 million life time this past week.

Golfing at night in 100 degree weather is making it more of a challenge than it needs to be... heat and lights play tricks with the mind. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Happy Rowing,

Ed

wow and wooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo and congrats :]

Image Memorial Day 2017

Memorial Day here in the US didn't officially become a federal holiday until 1971, but it's been celebrated in many states since the late 1800s. While Memorial Day now honors the American dead from all wars, it originally commemorated those who died in the Civil War. Here in the US, there is a national moment of remembrance at 3 PM ET on Memorial Day when Americans are supposed to pause for a moment of silence.

It's also a time of many family and friends gatherings, and lots of grilling will be happening with plumes of smoke sailing through the backyards. Enjoy your day - whatever it brings!

Thanks much K2, Thor & BG! Was nauseous & completely wiped out from Sunday's effort but set a new course solo PR. Recently acquired Savage River Falcon is a joy to paddle but really appreciate not having to dodge huge Missouri River barges while on the C2 :D !

LAST day of the first month of the season....what milestone are YOU targeting for your blaze of glory?! And is it the same one that you started the month with?!

Ultra-effort! Dodging barge traffic on what looks to be a 40 mile kayak run? Whoa. That's a lotta on-the-water with stuff that's bigger than you, Steve W...and 40 miles (this is a guess based on meter totals for the other day)...definitely not for the faint of heart or novices. How long does something like that take to complete?

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations:

500 K Richard T ...a cool half million!
350 K Norma ... will today be the day?
300 K Ron
250 K Louis
200 K Tombeur
200 K Keith

Thanks, everyone, for rowing and ski-erging with us!

Tony 1,111 m ...a palindrome!
Ross 3,489 m
Jeff M 3,518 m
Dan O' 4,600 m
Michael J 4,670 m
Rebecca 5,885 m ...high fives bookend a special eights kind of palindrome!
David W 8,000 m
Dennis 10,000 m
Ed 10,001 m ...a palindrome!
Bernie 10,013 m
Janice 10,049 m
Jane 10,601 m ....a 10-6 palindrome....in police code, that means busy!
Tombeur 10,611 m
Larry 11,000 m
Norma 11,111 m ...another onesie palindrome!
David A 11,264 m
FRiC 12,500 m
Steve W 12,555 m
Ron 13,031 m ...a lucky 13 palindrome!
Will 14,150 m
Louis 16,000 m
Image Keith 26,000 m ... he moons us!
Image Richard T 68,582 m ...it's greater than 50K...a red giant!
