Posted on Facebook had the following reply from Alex Wortley

"Hi Everyone, just jumping in on this as with the last ISS related post. We've just changed servers this week and unfortunately have experienced some issues with the website as a result. These are currently being looked in to and we hope that they will be fixed tomorrow.

All other issues mentioned here such as not listing results etc have been covered on past posts and were due to Concept2 retaking ownership of the UK brand and therefore it no longer being in our interests to carry on the results as they were Concept2 specific and therefore we expected them to take over the running of that particular section.

Thanks everyone!"

That was from 22nd June

I wonder if it's a cunning plan to discontinue the forum over there. It's been borked for a week, it's a trivial thing to beat your ISP into submission with the wet end of a rowing blade until they fix it.

Just read this on the UK forum at:

https://indoorsportservices.co.uk/company/forum

Indoor Sport Services Website Forum Closure Announcement

Over the last few years there have been a lot of big changes here at Indoor Sport Services. We now offer a wider range of fitness equipment beyond just Concept2 Rowing Machines & SkiErgs including Wattbikes, Assault Bikes & Again Faster Strength & Conditioning Equipment.

We absolutely love playing a part in helping people to achieve their health and fitness goals and our online communities have always been a big part of this.

The Indoor Sport Services forums have been active for well over ten years now, however it has become apparent that they are no longer being used as often as they once were. When we started the forums it was a great place for the Indoor Rowing community to interact and discuss various different topics. As time has gone on. and online interactivity evolved, the forum format has shown its limitations.

Today, there are various alternatives that we all have access to daily. We are fully active on Facebook. Twitter & Instagram. We have also set up a new Facebook Forum Group - A place where you can gather together online and share training tips and more.

Our focus is to help people achieve their health and fitness goals through high quality and value for money fitness products. Maintaining the forum is one that we cannot dedicate the required time to. It is not a snap decision - it is one we have been thinking hard about over the last couple of years as social media has evolved.

We would like to thank all the users over the years who have made the forum what it is and for the kind words and feedback posted publicly and shared privately. A special heart-felt thank you to Dougie Lawson for all his hard work in moderating the forums and ensuring that has been a great place for our users to interact with one another.

For those who want to continue interacting with one another we fully recommend our new Facebook Forum Group.

Once again thank you and we hope to see you on our other avenues and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Happy Workouts

Lets call it what it us, BULLSHIT, a forum makes no money, it was very lively untill they hid it very deep on the site, and even then is was alive. So they simply shut it down. Fair enough, if they don,t want it so be it.
But ofcourse nobody needs them for social media  Simply be honoust, and questions.... Ehhhhh nah

That is bizarre (and as henry says BS) - in reality they killed it off about 3 years ago when they trashed the website

Would be nice if we could access the blogs (not write any new ones) so we could export them elsewhere. Some of us have years of our training in there with no way to get it out.
Edit: I have asked them if this would be possible. Not holding out much hope, but I asked anyway.
