IP blocked error

...was getting this earlier with the site. A friend tried and got the same. What happened with the site/server? Security issue?

I was having the same earlier. I haven't logged on in a week and thought my account had been compromised!

More of an admin error I'm afraid! We get a quite astonishing amount of spam, and one of the techniques used to stop it is blocking IP addresses that are used to sign up spammy users. Unfortunately one of the addresses blocked this morning appears to be critical to the ongoing operation of the forum! I'm not quite sure how that happened, but for now it's unblocked and all should be back to normal.
