Back once again, had to take a 2 week break from erging due to a big physical slump I went through since the end of march, I might have overdone
things a bit with training load and not getting enough sleep (daylight saving time, argh). Kept going with on-water training, but that's usually less intense.
Reluctantly climbed back on the erg today to give the april challenge at least 1 go. I thought I did well with a 6:04.7 all things considered (tired from morning
training and open blisters on both hands), but a lowly 4th boat ranking suggests I should have done better. The sprint format is really something that
needs to be experienced once to learn how to pace it properly. Hopefully I can pick up where I left off this month and do better on next months all-out sprinting
challenge.

Gave the series a last go. 500m this month 1.21.0/42 for some strange reason, although never really went for it, but ave the 500 several goes, but it never felt great. Today, no different, felt a bit stiff and cold,mit was very windy, weather forcast was great, but I found it crap, hate hard winds.
Topspeed was poor, kept going ok, but just a tad to slow...

Welcome back Ivan - I too had to take a couple of weeks off due to work but admittedly didn't get back on the erg on my couple of days at home. I am back at it now and started the Beginner Pete Plan today (day 1!). Did the C2CTC and of course have one of the lowest scores on there. I posted 1236m and the next ones up are in the 1400m ranges. More work to do for me!

Well that got very ugly very quickly. Thought I would go hard for the first 5 and dig in for the last 5, unfortunately my first 30sec was quickest and went backwards. Lactic acid didn't really get a chance to clear and ended up being a lot of pain and gasping. Finished with 1707m. A nice cold beer went down really well
