Whoop, whoop and oh happy day! Congratulations, Cheryl, on a magnificent finish to the 2017 erging season...landing on exactly 1,000,000 m and achieving meter millionaire status for the FIRST TIME EVER! We wish you many, MANY more!!

What a year! Cheryl achieved her first million lifetime meters not too long ago, won a prize in the Mudness contest, and now caps it off with a FIRST ever meter millionaire status. Well done!
Congratulations Cheryl!!!

Whoop, whoop and what a finish! Congratulations, Jane, on achieving ELEVEN million lifetime meters! We wish you many, MANY more!

Btw, Jane, you would be top of the leaderboard for nonathlon with the speeds you generate. Check it out.

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru EOY 2017

Post by Kona2 » May 1st, 2017, 10:26 am

We finished the year with 110,157,184 team meters generated by 136 team members. We started back to the moon in 2016 season when we generated 109 MM and some change. The combined total of 2016 and 2017 seasons brings us a little more than halfway to the moon! As always, our long journey is made better by our teammates! To the moon, mates, to the moon!

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights...Celebrations: On the last day of the erging season

9.4 MM Ed
3.2 MM Steve W
3.0 MM Thor
2,222,222 m Norma
1.0 MM Cheryl
1.0 MM Larry

Thanks, everyone! It was a wonderful year!

Norma 281 m ...to bring in the twosiest palindrome we've seen all year!
Tony 1,111 m ...a palindrome!
bg 5,017 m
Will 5,513 m
David T 6,000 m
Dan O' 6,424 m
Jane 6,588 m
Tombeur 7,125 m
Thor 8,271 m
Paul 10,000 m
Janice 10,292 m
Louis 12,000 m
K2 12,017 m ...to close out 2017!
Mark 13,160 m
Ron 14,641 m ...a palindrome!
David A 15,924 m
Image Larry 21,097 m ... he moons us!
Image Steve W 21,097 m ... he moons us, too!
Ed 33,333 m ...a threesie palindrome!

Image And so it begins!!

But, hey! The FIRST thing you have to do is GET ONBOARD the good ship Luna-Tic! Be a Lunie in 2018!

The early results are in and we have SEVEN teammates thus far! What's my goal for end of day (naturally I have one)....33 teammates on the roster. Go ahead! Exceed my expectations!

Image Day 1 of 15 days of opportunity!

First on the Global Marathon Half Marathon honor board.....from AUS is Andrew S! Good work, Andrew!

Get onboard the galactic erging train! Hurry! Hurry! Fabulous teammates await! You are delaying your own journey!

Sadly today is a public holiday and my gym which is a bit of a "mom & pop" business is closed so had to get out on the bike.
Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

Congratulations to all of the late in the year accomplishments. Way to kick in gear to reach 1 MM meter, multi-MM meter and lifetime meters goals. Looking forward to another great year for 2017/2018!

Keep calm and Row, fellow Lunies!

Edscapade wrote:Hi Team,

Always great to see everyone pushing to the end! My goal at the begging of this season was to make 40 million lifetime meters. There were times I would push myself and other times say it is okay if you don't... I gave up a few tee times this month to achieve the goal. Also the 114 degrees helps me stay inside. Ha ha

Today I achieved what I started - 40 million lifetime meters. It always feels good to be on a great team that keeps us all motivated! Could not do it on my own - always take the motivation to heart and believe in ourselves.

So a shoutout to my teammates for being here throughout the season. Very much appreciated!

Ok it also helps when you live in a country with not much to do... but you still have to put you butt in the seat.

Congratulations to all!

Happy Rowing,

Ed
Woo Hoo!

Whoop, whoop and world traveler! Ron's had some challenges in posting commentary...but wowzer, this one deserves a shout out! Congratulations, Ron, on achieving FORTY MILLION TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND lifetime meters...and becoming a member of a very elite group of rowers who have circled the earth! We wish you many, MANY more milestones!

In fact, I see that we have FOUR other teammates who could enter the circle-the-earth status in this next year: Will, bg, Danno and Minnie. No wonder we are on our way back to the moon!
Woo Hoo!
Ron has been pretty quiet lately, and seemed to have not been able to put in so many meters early in the season, but lately has been pouring it on - flying by so many people, and now finishing a lap around the Earth!

Oh you bikers, always looking to get two wheels flying. When I was away, I got to visit with the amazing man I used to ride tandem bike with about 19 years ago. He didn't let me drive ... often. Grin.

Have fun and happy trails.
