An abbreviated WEC challenge update tonight. TimbukTWO seems to be pretty locked in to 20th place worldwide. We have managed 4,115,580 meters thus far with a little over 24 hours to go in the challenge. With a good day tomorrow we have a shot at 4.25 million meters. We've been led by some really strong efforts from Gary Weaver and Winston Tubman, both with over 350,000 meters. Michael Nelkin and Doug Duvall have both shattered 200k on their way to loftier goals and several more crew mates are approaching 200k. I will give a full update once the challenge is complete. Remember to
log your meters and row on TimbukTWO!

Another brief update on the WEC Challenge. TimbukTWO definitely finished strong , staying in 20th place worldwide and as of this posting has 4,275,926 meters logged. Three members passed 300k meters, 4 more crested 200k, and in total 20 members pitched in over 100k. Many more made solid contributions and remember every meter counts. Job well done everyone. I will post a more complete report after all the final numbers are posted.

Our TimbukTOO affiliate is still rowing strong and currently sits squarely in 19th place worldwide with 36,420,292 meters in the books. As the rowing season winds down let's all finish strong. I know a number of us have annual targets we are shooting for, I still need to row another 117k to reach my personal goal of 1.2 million meters.I know it is highly doable, I just have to stay focused and dedicated. I would like to see the team reach at least 37.5 million meters, dare I hope for 38mm. Both are within our reach if we grind it out! So hit your targets, whatever they are and exceed if you can. We are all on our own journey here and facing our own hurdles. Row onward TimbukTOO! :D

Trying like heck to hit 2MM mark for the season, as are Neil and George. Row strong! And just 11 days until we start fresh with a spanking brand new rowing season! :D

Way to row on Bobbie, Neil, and George! I have been following your ascending numbers. My own little target is 1.2 million. Let's all finish strong together. I know Gary W is about to cross the 3 million mark, and I am sure many others have goals or mini-goals to shoot for. Row on TimbukTOO! Counting today there are 11 days left in rowing season.

I have been trying to put in 10k a day lately, split between morning and evening rows. It took me until the last month and a half to finally get on track. I hope to springboard it into a good start for next season.

Hey TimbukTOO! We have one week remaining in the season. Gary Weaver is inches away from 3MM! George Mudry is just a few more oars strokes short of 2MM. Bobbie Z has work to do, but she can get to her 2MM with some strong rowing days this week. Who else is shooting for a target to end out the year? I am closing in on my meager target of 1.2MM, with just under 44km to go. Row on team, we have crossed 37MM for the year.

I got 1.5 mm, considering the first stroke I pulled in my life was Sep 16th, I am pretty happy. I appreciate all the help and tips I got from the other team members. I don't know if I can get to Gary Weaver level, but I am shooting for 2.5 mm next year since I will have the whole year to get it.

Wow! Way to go. I won't even make 1 mm for the whole year. Guess I need to step up a little closer to the plate.

Awesome job! My first year I was all in too, Great goal for next year! I am gonna try to set a challenging goal for next year as well. If only I was steady all year 1.5 would have been attainable this year. But we'll see what next year brings!

Go Weav Go! 3MM is sooooo close.

I've got little post-its in my paper logbook--if I row 8k at lunch, and 4k after work, and 5k before work........ I will hit 2MM if it kills me! I'm stubborn. 57K to go!

Yeah, I'm already thinking ahead to next year. Besides logging on C2, I also set up an Excel spreadsheet, chart my goals, how much a day I need to get there, how much I actually rowed. Yeah, I'm a little neurotic  A few years ago, I did 3MM, I think it was 2.5MM last year. I'm going to aim for somewhere around 2.5.

Row strong, everyone! And many thanks to Angela and John for the motivation.

Okay Team with only 5 plus day left in the rowing season I am going to jabber away a bit. We are up to 37,351,226 meters. I believe we have 38MM in us. Gary W . I have been waiting to call you out on your 3MM. George M and Bobbie Z I see you both closing in on 2MM, let me cheer you both on! Neil Q, I see you just put in a solid row; where do you want to finish your season.Let's all grit this out. Steve I., I know you have had a great first season and are still rowing hard. Do you have 1.6MM in the tank. Steve M you are one good row shy of 1MM, I know that will feel great. Bel C you had a great Mud Season Madness challenge, do have any more goals for the season. Gabi H, I know your just getting back to it, but I see those meters starting to add up. There are many more of us who are putting in great efforts, battling through little or big adversities. Hang in there and keep ergging along. I know my updates pale in comparison to Angela's and I don't mean to leave anyone out, but I just peruse the list and comment on what jumps out at me. Row on team!

Another day in the books, a quirky work schedule slowed me down a bit, but Gary W didn't slow down! 3MM Complete! Way to go Gary, a truly great and consistent effort throughout the whole year. George M, I see you crossed the 2MM mark.Job well done! Congrats! Bobbie Z., I see you creeping towards 2MM; clearly a good day today. Neil Q. clearly you are still working hard, another day...another 10K. Jim C, it was nice to you post some serious meters. Steve I. keep on striving. We are closing the day out after just crossing the 37.5MM mark. Have a good night all, we have 4 more days to go; let's make them count!

As the season winds down I am going to keep the team chatter going. I awoke today with 19k left to hit my annual goal of 1.2MM and thought of the adage 'well begun is half done', so I headed to the gym and rowed a little over 10km. Neil Q., I see you keep cranking out 10km rows as if they were easy! Way to go. Mark S., If you had sat back and not rowed anymore I might have tried to pass you in our affiliate standings but I see you have begun cranking out meters and crested 1.25MM. Well done! Row on mate. Our TimbukTOO affiliate is on the cusp of 37.6 MM with a little less than 4 days to go. Let's all row strong and try to hit 38MM for the year. Row!Bobbie Z Row! 2MM is right within your grasp! That's it for now team. Row on!

We are approaching the end of day 363 of the rowing season, 2 full days to go! I know some of you have hit your target and some are closing in on them. Winston T., I see you crossed 1.4MM. Great job and great wind up to the season with your performance in the last couple of challenges. Steve M. Congrats on joining the 1MM club for the season. I wanted to take a rest day, but with 3 days left in the season and the way I have been imploring everybody to row on I had to crank out another 10km. We have passed 37.728MM. I think the team can make the 38MM mark with a big push. I can commit to 2 more solid rows for my part.

.ps I made my 1.2MM target for the season today and am very happy with my effort over the last five months. I started the year off really slowly and only hit the 100km mark during 1 out of the first 7 months. Hopefully next year I will be able to be more consistent. This last month however has been one of my best rowing months ever and the first time I hit 200km in a month, since December of 2013.

Happy Ergging All,

jb
