Welcome in advance to Michael Z Jr. Up to 817 already. =) Sign him up!

Well done on the squash win, ramboyo. =) I use to play squash, but with my dodgy knees (dislocated one twice, fractured the other) it's a bad call.

Good stuff with the 15k, Bore Da!. I looked for you two again after the race, but it was quite a while later 'cause I had to catch up with a friend who surprised me by turning up at BIRC. Seeing teams in their colours made me jealous. I reckon our new logo will look good on an all-in-one or something. Please don't make me race in white though! Maybe we should look for a team sponsor who will pay for the race kits in return for having their logo on the strip too, like MAD Team. =)

I just did a 6k PB. Today's row was done at a higher rate (+1 SPM), and a lower DPS (8.3m compared to 8.5m), but my power and SPI increased (avg power 250.5W from 241.3W, SPI 7.81 from 7:74).

Well, I'm ecstatic! I managed to cream both my previous 60-minute PB and the 15,000m barrier.

Tactics for the 60 minutes ('cause I know Martin loves this stuff!) was to do the first have at 1:59 pace and the second half at 2:00 pace. As it was I went off at 1:58 and it felt comfortable so I decided to change my tactics to 15-minute paces of 1:58, 1:59, 2:00 and 2:01 which would still get me through the 15,000m mark.

Splits (3-minutes) ended up as follows:

1:58.2 (26spm)
1:58.1 (25)
1:57.9 (25)
1:57.8 (26)
1:58.4 (26)
1:58.9 (26)
1:58.8 (26)
1:58.7 (27)
1:59.1 (27)
1:59.5 (27)
1:59.6 (27)
1:59.9 (27)
1:59.8 (27)
1:59.6 (27)
1:59.8 (27)
1:59.9 (27)
2:00.0 (27)
1:59.9 (27)
1:59.7 (27)
1:53.6 (30) - thought I'd pick up the pace in the last 3 minutes!

Final distance of 15,146m that's an improvement of 475m. So i'm really pleased to have got through that 15,000m threshold and to have smashed through it!

As well as the end result what I'm really pleased with was the controlled nature of the row. As you can see the stroke rate was consistent and I felt in control throughout.

Did I mention I was pleased!

Just updated Nonathlon and the new 60-minute PB has ended up as my highest score (846 to 874) and given me an extra 18 points to my total.

Question for Daren, when you did your 60-minute PB, what was your 2K best at that time? Reason I ask is that it might give me an indication of what I might be capable of right now as my 60-minute time is similar to yours (although it's probably time you updated your 60-mins PB by now!).
