There was a news blurb this morning that caught my attention...and I'm sure most people were focused on this elk's unexpected arrival through a window well in a Hailey, ID basement (photo was posted by the Idaho Fish and Game)...but it caught my eye for a whole 'nother reason...

Image

hmmmmmmm...i wonder if the elk is already on a team????

Change has happened to the Military Challenge. A quick perusal of the affiliation page, the one that shows all our current Lunies, and a look at the Military Challenge shows concurrent affiliations ARE POSSIBLE! How about that?! Howard, you are earning your meters and we can see them in the Lunaverse as well. Hurray Concept2!

I noticed that when I changed to US Army. Which isn't quite what the e-mail from Concept2 led me to understand.

"I've not done the Military Challenge before because I didn't want to lose a month's meters, but if I understand this correctly
I would come back to the Luna-Tics and would add my meters done during the Military Challenge. Is this correct? And will my
meters done in February, but before I joined the Challenge be added to the Challenge?"

This is the e-mail I sent to Concept2 and they said "That's correct." However it works is the main thing and it looks
like my meters will show up both places. Very good news. Maybe has to do with a difference between "Teams" and
"Affiliations".

Thanks, all! I remember a few years back I was thinking a million was a lifetime goal, not an annual! I wouldn't say its easy, but its simple: just row every day and it adds up!

Hi Team,

Well my plans for golfing have changed this week... Qatar hit their all time low temperature of 1.5 degrees C or 34.7 F. Most the week in low 12-15 C.

Played only one day - still cold but I have played while it was snowing back home so not my coldest. Suppose to rain next week... go figure, I finally get some me time to golf and this weather starts. But on the bright side I shot 4 over so no complaints.

Tonight I surpassed 38 M lifetime meters. Always fun to hit another milestone.

Good luck BG!!!

Happy Rowing,
Ed
