BoatCoach Tabata into RowPro
Hi guys,
I would like to row Tabata in RowPro, like in BoatCoach: An easy warm up of 5 mins, then alternating between 00:40 HR HIGH and 00:20 HR QUITE HIGH. Ending after 10 reps with 5 min easy. I have tried to set this up through the advanced setup, but are not able to – the row ended after x meters – the piece was not set to minutes? Something went wrong. Anyhow (again), here is what I would like to accomplish (actually – I do not care about Stroke rate target (TSR), just about my HR). Thanks a lot in advance.
Best, Mads
The Tabata from BoatCoach goes like this:
The system is
Start HR
1 session easy 136-154
Alternating
10 reps of High 165-173
10 reps of 154-164
End
1 session easy 136-154
And here is all the intervals
Tabata Dur: 20:00
# MIN INTEN BPM
1 05:00 Easy 136-154
2 00:40 High 165-173
3 00:20 Medium 154-164

Re: BoatCoach Tabata into RowPro
Hi. Thanks for the answer. Feels a bit dumb, but could you give an example? Do you enter time in the xx yy etc? Do I need several rows? Rowpro has some codes like r and so on. Do the display on the software be set into something specific? Could I be so direct to ask you if you have any sessions like this preprogrammed and would like to share the file with me? Re: BoatCoach Tabata into RowPro
hmm... that was an example.
the config file for the custom row is seperated into two sections.
the one defines the intervals, either by time or distance. each interval has a defining variable
i.e.
5:00 A -> 5' using A
1000 B -> 1000m using B
and so on. tabatha was only using time intervals so use that.
the second section is where you define the variable used in the interval:
A 2:00-2:05 PACE (pace defined between 2:00-2:05/500m), 20-22 SPM, 150-165 BMP etc.
these only effect the tolerance bands on the display of rowpro, but its nice to see. there is no reminder that pops up or anything (that would be nice)
there are some example configs and custom rows in the library to use as a template and a complete variably list is on the readme instructions in the program.
My rowpro is on a seperate computer in the fitness room and its not close for me to look.
also there is no import function, so I couldn't create one and let you import it..

Re: BoatCoach Tabata into RowPro
Thanks a lot. My english is not that good, and I might be very stupid - but still does not catch it. Is the difference between A and B that A is time of interval B is distance of interval? What is C then?bisqeet wrote:hmm... that was an example.

Or do I just have to program Pace, time, hbeat on each row?
If I understand you correctly - a bit like this? (sorry for my slowness on this)
A 5:00, HR 120, SPM 22
B: 0:40, HR 150 SPM 32
C 0:20 HR 140 SPM 28
D: 0:40, HR 150 SPM 32
E 0:20 HR 140 SPM 28
And so on?

A:
first define your intervals in the first part:
5:00 A
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
0:40 C
0:20 B
5:00 A
then in the second part define the variables used:#
A 136-154 BPM
B 154-164 BPM
C 165-190 BPM
