Re: JOIN TEAM ROW-HIO
Hi there,
I am from Indiana... aka "almost Ohio"? I am a 48 yr old woman looking to get into somewhat-competitive indoor rowing. Would I be a good fit for your group?
Thanks,
Catherine

You could also look at the Forum Flyers Catherine - very welcome to join us. See the thread in the Teams sub forum just above here. Very international group from US Europe and Australia as well.CatherineMartin68 wrote:Hi there,

We are in the VTC and doing quite well for our size and it also would get you into the CTC challenge which is a monthly international challenge with many virtual clubs and a new and interesting event each month. (http://www.c2ctc.com)

Hi Catherine. I'm a Buckeye by birth with a bit of Hoosier mixed in. Forum Flyers has a good mix of fitness and competitive rowers from round the world.

Re: JOIN TEAM ROW-HIO
Yes, I am happy to have the motivation of a team to be a part of - virtual or otherwise! Now I just have to keep logging those meters to help out team FF.
A question about the standings list for the CTC: is there any way to know the age etc. of the other competitors (I would like to know how exactly demoralized I should be about my times )?

Re: JOIN TEAM ROW-HIO
The data is in the database (it's probably out of date for most folks) for the CTC but it is not externalised. We may have problems with EU/UK data protection laws if we released that.CatherineMartin68 wrote: A question about the standings list for the CTC: is there any way to know the age etc. of the other competitors (I would like to know how exactly demoralized I should be about my times )?

Re: JOIN TEAM ROW-HIO
Catherine, your best source for info regarding your standing among indoor rowers of your age, sex, and weight class world wide can be found at:
https://log.concept2.com/rankings
A considerable number of CTC participants who also log and rank workouts in the Concept 2 Log very likely do not register with the same login ID at both sites. But some do and are identifiable in the rankings. That may be some help later in the month when more of the FF ladies have submitted a result. For now, you're hanging with JoFF, a consistant and strong competitor, so a quite respectable result. Thanks for picking Flyers. Have fun with it!

Probably should move this conversation to the FF thread I guess now that Catherine is a card carrying member!jackarabit wrote:A considerable number of CTC participants who also log and rank workouts in the Concept 2 Log very likely do not register with the same login ID at both sites. Yes Jo is a good benchmark - mate of mine here in Sydney who is strong and reliable and been doing it for a few years now.
