Quite impressive to do those times at 17. However I´m 38 and been doing almost no endurance workout the last 4 years (except the last two months since I started rowing). But you`re right: I can do better. Next months combination of SS and intervals will hopefully get me down to around 1.40.

teddyDK: I´m not sure what you mean but my training is quite good I suppose. About two months of mostly SS app. 35-40´ meters/week and next month will be two SS sessions and two intensive sessions per week.

Aha, pretty much strength workout like chins, dips etc and a lot of punching on sandbags. I have a long time goal to to a slow muscle up without swing. A knee injury stopped me from running a couple of years ago and the endurance machines at the gym just didn´t looked fun. An alternative for you could be kettle bell workout, good for both strength and endurance.
