Dean, can that really be harder than a 6:40 thrash? Big, big effort!

Amazing accomplishment Dean! The mental discipline required to do something like that is incredible I would assume.

nope - you're right there Henry
Rating up that high (30+) for a 2k is killing me at the moment. I'm probably low 6:5x @R28, but thats only a rough idea.Yet to do any serious fast "short" pieces.
I might suprise myself, but honestly i'm just a coward. havent done a 2k since January 2016 (6:57), which was before swapping my training - since then its been about 4 Million Meters - all at min 9W /stroke (albeit at R18/20).
Aerobic and drive strength was my main targets this year - still working on it
I keep putting it off as I dont have a 2k race this year (next is 30min TT) - thats what I keep telling myself anyway.. but who knows. I might just feel the need during the holidays -
maybe when crazybear has finished

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
No need to do a 2k, you simply like the long work. It gives you a base, but for a 2k you need yo build a peak. But like you say, if you feel like it do some some 500 Reps. Speed should pick up fast. If not.. So what.bisqeet wrote:

Very impressive, toyed with trying that same goal but all of the horror stories about the difference between HM and FM made me reconsider. Congrats!bisqeet wrote:one of my seasons targets achieved (and imo the hardest to attain)
