For some reason, I thought you might be trying to imply that Chad Williams was the secret identity of Leo Young.

Ok Dwayne,

let me tell you that I am an original Stuttgart highlander and I tell you what I did in the last hour: df 120, 23-24 spm result: I nearly collapsed with a result of 16 k´s. and I think the flywheel is still spinning. So I ask you once again: It can´t be the Sauerkraut, what is your secret???

p.s: Normally I train during the winter season with df 220, sometimes I took of the metalcover, so I have a df > 300. For the summer season I go down to 180, this is equal to the drag in my single scull. But I couldn´t imagine how a heavyweight like you get enough drag for 6 minutes of 500+ Watt.

Jürgen

If someone can do a 6 min 2 k with drag 170 hw can also do something likewise with a much lower drag. I myself use a drag of 100 for the longer pieces and for a 2 k I use 120. Only for the shorter pieces I have trouble to hard enough. And although I am certainly not able go go below 5.50 I want to row 6.10 next season and I am going to use 120.
I am also only 6.1/1.86 so a short heavyweight.

Ps The trouble with high drag and low rate is the slowing down off the fan. every pull you have to excellerate again. With a lower drag you have to be faster but the fan keeps spinning much better. It takes a little time to get used to.

I know how much time you have to spent in this aerobic b...sh.... I am concvinced that a guy with such tremedous, unbelievable extensive work IS ABLE TO DO 5:46!

And a word to all the other 40-49-ers like Andreas an the others, it is all impressive what you present, but if one is so stupid and silly to row over 40 k´s a day (as an average!) we should respect that.

I am a little disappointed that I haven´t the time to race in Boston this year (new job), but what I will miss more is the beer at the bar afterwards (especially with Andreas). Times sub 6:10 are outstanding for our age group and a lot of the OPEN CLASS rowers would be happy if they would be able to do this. Is there any problem for a hard working senior like us. I would say NO, Senior! If yes go out have another Tequilla, look on your banque account and

Greetings Jürgen
