An so Am I!
Second part was heavy...but since I was not in the best shape today, it is very promising for new Pb's

Splendid PBs there Nico and Siebe.
Got a much easier one today: 15.9sec on the 100m-sprint (previous was 16.0), DF 172, 53 SPM

Well done. Your power is promising for other PB's as well...Galeere wrote:Splendid PBs there Nico and Siebe.

Al you needed was one try? I sometimes need 4 or 5 times to get it right.
It is sometimes frustrating that it eventually shows a tenth of a second more, than at first. Had you had this issue as well?
Is your PB 500m 2017 a target or do you see this year as 2017 like the nonathlon?

Thanks Siebe. I had one more go before @ 16.1sec (which showed 16.0 at first but changed to 16.1; fortunately no such problem on the second go and I could log and rank it with verification codes without any problems).sjors wrote:Well done. Went @ 49 SPM on the first and @ 53 SPM on the second trial, saw several strokes @ 1:17 as a LP on both trials.
Regarding the 500m the 1:30.0-PB actually is from the current erging year 2016/2017 (which indeed is written as 2017 like in the Nonathlon) but as I am only in my second season of serious erging I keep last years PBs (some of them done in 2015 but written as 2016) in the table for comparison purposes even if a SB this season (2017) is faster (I copied that configuration from Jack). But I see the reason for the confusion now and changed the PB-year for the 1:30.9 to 2016 (season 2015/2016).

Okay, ...but now on my screen your signature is getting to small, or in other words, it is not readable.Galeere wrote: Thanks Siebe. I well have a try on doing the 100m also in a higher stroke-rate. Probably asking a very different approach. 53 sounds like a crazy fast rate.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
As neat as the feature in general is the signature generator does have some flaws. And yes, in order to get enough power transmitted a high rate is needed. As the pace calculates to 696W even at 53 SPM almost 14W per stroke is needed. I am obviously not able to generate much more (and usually generate less as a 30R20 at 200W is a fairly tough UT1-workout for me).sjors wrote:Okay, ...but now on my screen your signature is getting to small, or in other words, it is not readable.Galeere wrote: Thanks Siebe. I will let you know how increasing stroke rate works out for me.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
I have lurked in the C2 forums since I purchased my model in the summer of 2015 and never posted. I had hit a plateau until about 3 or months ago. At that time I started doing mainly long steady stated pieces. For me that is one hour or more @ 21, 22, 23 strokes a minute. In the last couple of weeks I have set pb for the 500, 2k, 10k, and 1 hour rows.
500 -- 1:35.1 took 5,8 seconds off previous best.
2k -- 7:16.6
10k – 38:52 took 16 seconds off previous best.
1 hr. -- 15215 meters.
I think I still have plenty of room for improvement. All of this pbs have occurred without any rest days since early August. The 2k was very uneven with splits of 1:54.1, 1:51.5, 1:48.8, and 1:42.2. To be clear I did not sit down to do pb. It was the final part of my warm up where I like to go pretty hard with negative splits. It wasn’t until I finished the 1500 meters that I decided to go for it. According to Paul’s law I still have room for improvement. I hope that is the case as a sub 7 minute 2k could be in my future.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
You must have gained some really great confidence. So use that to do a real attack on your 2k. Sub 7 means sub 1:45 pace.wilkes wrote:I think I still have plenty of room for improvement. Probably again first some weeks ss with strong strokes, and maybe some intervals as wel.
For me a good predictor of pace for a 2k is 10 x 500 m with one minute rest. The average pace i'm able to perform on those 10 500's , is the pace I go for the complete 2k.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
Got my rower on January 6th, crossed my first million meters today. My pace started at 2:35 with a HR at 150. now its 2:10 at 150. maybe less but comfortably 2:10.
Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
one of this years targetds:
sub 37 10k.
Previous PB 37:07 (May 2016) an amazing 23s off (which i cant beleive - it didnt feel that hard; defo not easy, but i could have probably kept that pace for another 1k, before dying/puking; HR was a little low too ~165 )
just a sub 18 5k, a sub 1:20 HM and a sub FM @ 2:00 left... oh and 40 HM for season target of 100....
