This time, instead of focusing primarily on long distance rows, I started to intermingle in some shorter length intervals (250m, 500m) to try and get my speed up.
End result was that I decided to finally attack the 2k Yesterday to see if I could break the 7min barrier and was finally successful! Big mental hurdle to jump over as my asthma kicked in for the entire second half of the row, but I was able to push through with a pretty consistent pace.
Now the next goal will be a >8k 30min! Time to get to work.

Jack, yeah, it finally worked after signing up with the free spirits page. Pretty neat feature they put up there. About the 50k I don´t know but it wasn´t very fast (compared to my FM-PB that is - I think the 50k was @ around 2:09ish ).

I'm gonna try a hard effort at the hour this week but I don't think I'll beat that...or v possibly get close!
EDIT interesting pacing there runalone...it's almost as if you were intermittently listening to the "good guy" and the "bad guy" on each shoulder.

Yes, the session had ups and downs.
Good luck for your 60min.

Henry 1k PB is 3:10.8 from 2015 - have always thought there was a sub 1:35 in there somewhere but not found it yet!

I really have respect the group of regulars on here for maintaining their fitness long term. Lindsay at 65 your not really "old" but most your age are already on a rather steep decline. To match a 3 yr old PB is impressive! Props!
