Not sure of the point of 'low pull' but for what it's worth I tried today and saw 637 watts in the proscribed 10 secs at max damper. What does it mean though?
500m -- 1.30
2k-- 6:51.0
5K-- 18-56
6K--22.32
30min-- 7848
10K-- 38-54
HM - 1 hr 28

It is probably a rule of thumb but according to the following source it´s very tough on a 2k when target pace is more than 55% of your peak power. 637 x 55% would be 350W which would still be a 1:40 avg. on a 2K => 6:40 total.

Thanks for this. And from what you say, I think it's quite accurate. My feeling is that a 6.40/ 6.45 2K isn't too far away. I very rarely test.

Yeah but it surely only works for people doing plenty aerobic workouts (a weight lifter might pull the same peak power as a well-trained erger but won´t be able to hold 55% of that power on a 2k). So it would be a cap-indicator ("no more than approx. 55% of peak power") but not an allround-indicator (could be much less for the power-/sprint-guys).

Understood -- and I'd be in the former category: lots of aerobic workouts/ meters per week. Zero weights.

It says mostly about potential, you indeed need the aerobic fitness to match it. In untrained state, max pull is a good longterm indicator.

Top15% bin ich schon bei fast allen. Aber die Saison ist ja auch noch ein Stück. Allerdings fehlen mir noch die 100m, 1min und 4min.

Just reflecting on season Targets. Runalone´s are top 10% on all categories from 500m to marathon. Judging from his outstanding performance so far that´s achievable with the tough part IMO (from own experience) being at both ends (sprint and marathon-distances). And I recommended to try negative Splitting.

It is available on your computer. Google has an excellent translation site that worked well on a couple of these recent posts.

Not very presentable our Frau Merkel ... :roll: But better not to bring politics in a forum like ours - politics tend to mess everything up, and even the most humorous supranational group of enthusiastic ergateers might be endangered by such a topic (which could start with Frau Merkel, followed by Brexit and go on to the rally between Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton.... :o )
