Thanks all. Louis's first million. Very cool stuff! Hope all is well Dan.
Only 997K for my next lifetime million. I think less than 500K for the next season million though. Grin. Always something to look forward too. Can't remember if I mentioned I reached my daily average goal of 11K. I hold that average and my second 4 million season is in the bag. I missed over 45 days earlier this season so that took me a while to get. I had to row over 100K for 6 weeks running to get it up there.
Have fun and rock and row!

Not sure if it needs to be stated here or another place but I would like to be added to the Team Challenge for the Lunatics. Doing some on-water rows that may add up.

Alright, think it's done correctly. Thanks, Mighty Thor
! Just noticed, meters logged must be on an erg indoors
Looks like my river miles over the next month isn't much support. Will log indoor meters when able but weekends are in the canoe through the fall colors.

Can anyone tell me how you log miles that count toward the challenge if they are done at a gym while traveling? I noticed that the verification code found on the erg can only be entered in ranked pieces. I am leaving town next Wednesday and will be gone for 6 days. I think I can find a gym to get a couple of sessions in while in Oakland, CA and I'd like them to count toward the team challenge. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I am leaving this afternoon for a work trip and won't be back until Thursday but I will definitely hit 100k minimum before leaving for CA on the 28th.
Cheers!

BG; St. Charles, MO, suburb of St. Louis. A number of rivers / lakes in the area but mostly paddle the MO River. Did the same route as yesterday, about 30 miles. Primary activity has been running & triathlons but started paddling regularly this spring. Very enjoyable but much more of a hassle logistically!

A pumpkin made of horseshoes in Fowler CO !!
Good work, Lunies, on all the milestones you've been racking up in the last few days! The Lunie Fall Challenge Team is currently ranked 7th overall - and I'll surely contribute some more meters in a day or so. The ride was indeed one with a great view, and yesterday's finish was amazing along the Santa Fe Trail....prairie and blue sky for as far as you could see, with a bike aid station shimmering on the distant horizon as sunlight caught all the bikes. Was over 90 degrees yesterday - which kind of takes the starch totally out of me. Still, there were some amazing communities that we visited - reaffirms faith in small town Colorado, and there were several places I would definitely revisit.
Our governor had a wonderful idea when he thought up this tour of the rural communities. Two of the towns we stayed in had a population equal to the number of riders on the tour...about 750 to 1000. When we arrived, it could have been overwhelming...but they each handled the influx quite well. It was a HUGE economic boost to these communities - restaurants and cafes (there were a lot of mom and pop operations) stayed open late to feed us. Local church groups, museum docents, town trustees - all pitched in for community dinners, breakfasts in the parks...and it was great food. The local FFA groups worked with donors to put on some fabulous on ride course lunches. No, it's not all about the food, but the logistics could have been daunting.
Over the next few days I'll sprinkle in some photos of the ride!
Western Dairy was a big sponsor - lots of cold, cold chocolate milk at the ride stops.
And to commemorate the century ride that went into Dinosaur Tracks country, the city of La Junta CO had a local artist create a mural on some plastic wrap stretched between two trees at a local park. Pretty amazing stuff.
I did see a quick note from danwho that he was called away, and also hope all is well in his world.
