Glenn, your spread is even tighter at .3" slow to fast. You guys are channeling the consistency kings, Deano and Remi Sture.

Jack, I am bummed about the one r31 interval and the two that sneaked to 145.1 I also made sure to keep my average manageable for the next time by not stomping on the last one!
Your numbers look promising, eh?

Glenn I missed the teeny tenth but still all touching and no fliers. Yes, I'm happy to find myself going in the right direction pacewise.

Everybody soo keen...
Some great results already.
Going to be shifting my start to today, so that the ss coincides with otw training. That way if those are double sessions, they are both easy.

I'm also an eddy Fletcher fan, although I changed the recommended paces.
I have the intervals set up in rowpro/ with no stops.
I change the display to watts / ave watts. Then try and keep the average wattage 10 x my rate as prescribed. (Simple math)
Worked out at 49xx , 2:00/500 pace - which felt good.... definetly warm

Watt just a minute there Dean. Now you're really scaring me! 10 watt'/stroke? I'd have a stroke
Have you tried multiplying 28 or 34 by 7.7 on the go? Or my usual weakfish 5 watter? Takes the mental agility of a Feinmann. I'd need a calculator right when I got two handfuls of handle.
I swear fat, short, old people really got no reason to get up in the morning let alone try to get thru the day! You big strong younguns even got dibs on the best arithmetic! Why I oughta just hold my breath til I turn
I also like the EFWP and set it as variable intervals/time. Glenn does it as EFFE or maybe FEEF(?) as a mirror image standalone.
I see by the wag on the wall that it's well past late and nigh on to early a few hours down time's river so I better put this old endorphin head to bed! Nite Nite. Might want to take a peek under the hood of the sprdsht as Rohan and myself are both having trouble putting in.

i spose you could tape a cheatsheet to the erg, it was a on the fly thing - and i rarely exceed 30spm
whats the concensus on starts (static or rolling)
i spose static give the best data, rolling are better for the knees/legs and it is only training
i guess im going to do static starts

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Mine is the morning too. Was just lifting at home so I didn't do lifting / rowing back to back. My times are slightly more "true" with a bit of a break between. Sorry haven't been checking in more. Our 15 year old dog Joey took a turn for the worse this week. We have that last appointment scheduled next week on Wednesday (10 days from now). Been a bit devastated this weekend. Got him as a pup from the shelter when my kids were in 3rd and 5th grade (they are 23 and 25 now and out on their own). He's had a great life but it's been a really tough weekend...G-dub wrote:Where is everyone else's times!!! I thought there were 10 of us going? I need something to read this morning!

Mike - really sorry to hear that, hope you get to spend some more quality time with him over the next week.
Glenn - you can at least have my SS fare:
PP Cycle 1, Week 1, Day 2 - SS. 8,000m in 35:22.6 - average pace 2:12.6.
HR spent less than 2 minutes >= 145, and max of 148, (54% of time between 140-144), so as I've been using 146-153 as my UT2 range I'd almost say this was too easy. However, aware of the advice we've all been given not to push the SS days, and that at a given pace HR can vary a fair bit on a day to day basis (gym was nice and cool today), I'll stick at or about this pace for the next little while - though if this does continue will look to increase pace or distance slightly.

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Sorry Mike.
Blood - keep an eye on it. Sometimes the day after a tough interval session my HR behaves weird. If it was really hard, my HR stays low the next day which is not a good thing! If it was just hard it can be a little high the next day.

Some solid times being posted gents. I won't be able to join in until Monday, away for the weekend with no gym access. Will start slowly too as the full PP is a lot more mileage than I'm accustomed toG-dub wrote:Where is everyone else's times!!! I thought there were 10 of us going?
