This is open to everyone who has a point of view on the subject. So list your beer and if you feel like it, explain why it is the best . If Dougie wants to vote for Guiness he is more then welcome .

20k Total (Jan 9) w/ 7 X 1000 20s/m @ 1:53.5 pace
Congrats on 10,000,000m Brian!

On the topic of beer, good work Dougie , IMHO you can't have one favourite. There are too many good beers out there, and it depends on the mood you're in at the time as to which one you drink.

Cheers from a former homebrewer,

Kirk.

John, you're getting ahead of me in January meters - I better pull up my socks, eh?

Favorite beer... I don't like any, really. But my husband seems to be buying Budweiser lately, so I will cast a vote for it here on his behalf.

- Krysta

To get some other Canadian's point of view on beer, a fun place to check out is http://realbeer.com/canada/guestbook99.html

Here is one responder's comments:

"The best thing to do eh is to get a 6 pack of beer and then go to see a hockey game.
The best beer i ever drank was frosted frog eh so all u hosers who think otherwise dont know what real beer tastes like.
later hosers"

Personally my taste buds like beers from The Yukon Chilcoot Brewary, especially their "expresso stout", Big Rock's beers from Alberta are also good. In one beer review I was just looking at they listed "McNally's Extra" as a great Irish Brew that is Strong, full bodied and smooth. Yum.

5 km for me today.
I tried ito make homemade beer many years ago (starving student days) by putting a large bag in a garbage tin, throwing in the ingredients and letting it sit for a while. The only mishap was a large river flowing across the *** DELETE - SPAM *** floor and we patched up the bag. The beer was eventually bottled and we even managed to drink some of it as a couple of the bottles hadn't exploded.

Cheers,

Linda

My 2 cents for the beer debate:

DB Draught You can only get it in New Zealand. Reminds me I will have to direct our boat there on our round the world tour to pick up a pint of this stuff. I may even have to make a real trip over to quaff a few.

Keep on rowin',

Jim
