Whoop, whoop and so it begins - this interstellar journey of many millions! Congratulations, Jean, on achieving your FIRST ONE million meter milestone! We love celebrations and we especially love FIRST EVERS! Way to go!
Any excuse for a celebration. Enjoyed a nice bottle of wine last night in honour of said event. Thanks for the good thoughts.

Whoop, whoop and I got another million done (this time it took 8 months instead of a year!). Woot! And congrats to me. I'm looking forward to many, MANY more!
Woo hoo!!
That means the next one in half a year :P

David
Hoo Boy !! Interesting progression... that could go to 0 ??
When you figure out how to finish before you started, you will get a special mention in an appendix of a Stephen Hawking paper.
And following another progression, K2, seems you're entitled to 14 bottles of wine tonight.
Congratulations, Jean and K2 !!!

All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 8.4.16

Post by Kona2 » August 5th, 2016, 10:00 am

Image And so we begin a TWO-FER Challenge Time! A Challenge within a Challenge from August 5 - 21!! Go for the medal count!!

While you are continuing to erg through the Dog Days of August (and watching or listening to the various Olympic events), your time with the erg generating all those meters is accumulating towards your medal status as you work towards earning a medal to represent your country. And, while this is not confirmed (heaven forbid that I should enter the BS zone), I think that you can earn all three medals by hitting the requisite number of hours...kind of like our holiday Challenge where you get credit for the 100K when you reach that one, and the 200K when you reach that one....and of course, all that reindeer bling along the way....just throwing in a preview of coming attractions...

Rowlympic Challenge
August 5–21
Represent in the Rowlympics!

The Concept2 Rowlympic Challenge coincides with the Olympic Games. This rowing challenge celebrates the spirit and competition of the Games: represent your country by earning virtual medals (gold, silver, bronze) for the number of hours rowed. Hour totals are cumulative and do not need to be completed in one sitting.

The Details:

Meet the following hour totals during the challenge dates.
Gold 15 hours
Silver 10 hours
Bronze 5 hours

Have some fun with it!

MILESTONES...Bragging RIghts...Celebrations: Today it's all about the journey towards these

COUNTDOWN TO 1 Million Meters:

David A with (74,688 m) to go! Sure to get this done during Rowlympics

Tombeur with (78,686 m) to go! Sure to get this done during Rowlympics also

COUNTDOWN TO A COOL HALF MILLION:

danwho with (895 m...seriously) to go!

Doug G with (11,660 m) to go!

Virginia with (60,000 m) to go!

Thanks, everyone, for rowing and ski-erging with us!

Hey, I take a few days off and look what happens. Ok, 6 days off. Jean hits her first million, K2 catches another million, we get a new member with a goodly amount of meters, Norma is back kicking up her meters, Um, or something and who knows what I am not remembering. Wow! Way to go Jean and K2. I can say I new Jean when she was just a rowing pup.
Loving the stories of the riding trails.

Have fun and ...
Keep on Rock'n. In the fre world.

I know, I know, all I needed was an Olympic sized sneeze...

But still plugging away in the Dog Days Regatta... to a distinctly Brazilian beat.

Ok, now this is a bit strange. I checked and the US has two gold medals already. This of course isn't possible since the number of hours hasn't even gone by yet. The challenge started today and they are reporting over 24 hours each. I guess they must be front names for teams. Maybe they updated on water meters for the last while or something. Anyway, I felt the urge to row some more this evening and I have 2.5 hour so half way for the first medal. Felt better than the row this morning too. Hmm. I often row for around 90 minutes in the mornings.
I wonder what the certificates will look like. Grin.
Have fun and get your medals folks.
