Sorry to hear the news about your back Jim. It doesn't sound like something that self-massage will help, but you never know I guess.

Nov. 21: 11.5K total

2K warmup
4x2K @ 2:01ish, 23 SPM, 6 minutes rest
1.5K cooldown

Have a good day everyone!

Nov. 22: 10.75K

1K warmup
8.75K (40') alternating b/w (2' - 16 spm @ 2:21) and (2' - 18 spm @ 2:17)
1K cooldown

QUOTE(Yukon John @ Nov 19 2005, 08:22 PM)

I got a new PB on the 2000 . knocked off 10 seconds on my previous best! I can see sub 7' by the time we get to Montreal!

Mark

7k for me today!

That is 3 days in a row and it does not seem to be doing too much harm. I am glad you hosers have kept this boat going without me, but I am looking forward to putting in a bigger contribution now.

Keep on rowin',

Jim

Thanks for your confidence Mark, but we'll have to see on that one . I'm taking a rest day today although I did do 0.5 k. The usb port on our C2 monitor has been broken for a while and Concept 2 just sent us a new one (great customer support!!) So I had to see if row pro would work (and it does .) I've just signed up for my first online race. It's a handicapped 10k at 9:00 (our time) Thursday morning. I'm a bit nervious that I'll be able to figure out the steps to get it to work, but I might as well give it a try. I just hope I'm awake enough to get the engine started . Mark, I noticed the stoke rate on your row. Are you following one of the wolverine workouts? John.

To be honest I am finding it a tad difficult to figure out exactly what I am supposed to be doing for the L4's, everything else seems fairly straightforward. There's quite a lengthy wolverine thread going right now and I would like to read it over but haven't found the time yet.

Maintaining a nice rhythm at low rates is a challenge so far but I think it will come.

Have you used the WP at all?

Great minds do think alike obviously; I was looking for a picture of the maple leaf last night for my avatar as well - and that's no yoke!

I guess I'll have to find some other image of Canadiana. I bet if i google "beaver" there will be lots of choices.

9k for me - Nov 23 2005.

I actually made it into the shop to do a little "work", although nothing physical.

This rowing is great for the back as long as you use your head.

I should be back to work full time next week, and gradually increasing my rowing capacity over the next 4-6 weeks. Looks like I'm in for the holiday challenge.

Keep on rowin', hosers.

Jim
