Best of luck Steve W. hope all goes well. That kind of heat will take a toll, hope you find a way to cool off, and stay hydrated, sounds like a great adventure.

I reached my next million meters (68) lifetime today. It was nice to do it on this 'luna-iest' of days. B)
It would have been even more fun if it had been 1 million more (69), but that's too bad. (I hope to do more than 1 million meters more before the next 20th of July.)
It's also nice because it is our (my wife and I) 30th anniversary today.

Happy 30th Anniversary, David. Hallmark suggests that the traditional/modern gifts
for one's 30th anniversary are pearls/diamonds ... I'm sure your wife is thrilled!

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, the heat got me. Made it 73 miles but was physically in the red zone like many others. The attrition / dropout rate is a record high due to the heat :( . Am still actually out on the course in a support vehicle as a crew member for my buddy who's still hanging in there. If all goes as planned, he will make it in under the wire on Friday. Air temp 100* today, heat index 110-112, full sun.

Awesome David, two great milestones achieved! Thanks to Just27 for reminding me that I have 15 years to save for those diamonds and pearls :D
Steve W. hope your friend completes the course, Great of you to stick around to support him. I use to do a lot of rafting on those 100+ degree days and I know that heat beats the heck out of you. best to all of you.
