12.5 k total, (6000@10m/stroke 2:05pace) plus warm up and cool down. Jim, I imagine that you've got snow now, anybody else? We got some about a week before halloween. John.

11k for me today.
Yup, we got snow. We have had it for over a month. It melted a little bit a few weeks back, but it has been snowing lightly, but steadily, for over 2 weeks now. It will be here until May.

I didn't want to depress anyone with how close winter is.

These leg from Regina to Virden is a long one. I have had to switch the scale on the map just to fit it on. We can see Mark's home town of Russell now.

Keep those kilometers coming. We should be in Manitoba soon and hit the 2 million meter mark soon, eh.

Keep on rowin', hosers!

Jim

My workout was Wolverine Level 4 s 112^, 116, 188, 192 plus lots of light rowing to bring it up to 11k.

Hi there!

11km for me today (2nd Nov).

1km warm-up, then 10km @ 2:05/500m pace (70% of MHR - 145 bpm)

Mark: I'm not following any particular program, I do UT2 rows to try and improve technique and aerobic (70% of MHR) rows because I don't like pain

I imagine that now November is here my rowing will become more consistent and hopefully my "70% of MHR" pace will be improving.

We had snow last night but most of it has melted. Only a month until the ski hills open

Pull hard.

13.250K

4X1500 (2:03 splits) then rest regular rowing. Have been having a hard time getting my heartrate up lately, only maxing out in the upper 160s, used to be able to get it as high as 185, 190 a month ago. Don't know if that is bad or good

Have a good trip Bill. Say hi to mom for me!

Welcome Linda, nice to have you along.

Darren

Sounds like a good thing Darren, to go at the pace you're going and keeping your heart rate down, you can't beat that ! I bet if you were all out racing it would jump up. I put in a much slower (easy) 10 k today. John.

Hi Everyone,

As Jim already mentioned, I did 7 km today on the Wolverine plan, a Level 4 low stroke rate session. I am still getting the hang of this, and was pretty frustrated the first time I tried it. I kind of just like to go and grind. I wasn't into remembering how many sets I had done, or looking at the clock to check my pace, strokes, etc. I used to do marathon running and even with that, I wasn't one for strategy. I just went out the door and ran. However, I am enjoying this plan now, as I get a really good, total body workout from the rows...and I get to exercise while sitting down!
Row on, eh!

Linda
