Total of 30.5 today. I got a new PB on the 1/2 marathon by just over a minute (1:26.43. ) then I rowed another 9k at a 2:05 pace. I've had the biscuit but I still have to go out and winterize the vehicles . Maybe I should have done that first? . Oh well, I'll reward myself with soaking in a hot bath till I look like a prune when finished.

The slacker from NY State only did 7100 today. steady pace for 30 minutes. After a couple days of hunting camp this is harder than when I started last week! Man! Total of 13K over the weekend<br /><br />I was short of time Friday evening so I just did a slow 2K @ 1:52 plus 1K warmup and 1K cool down. <br /><br />Sunday afternoon - 8K @ 2:12ish, stroke rate = 23, average heart rate = 154<br /><br />I am doing all my workouts strapless @ 10 metres per stroke.

10 k this morning, easy pace. I'm starting to be able to bounce back a bit easier after the hard long rows. Yesterday was good because I became inspired looking at Brian's fast times so I thought I would go fast. I realized that if I do that during a marathon, I'll hit the wall in a big way. I need to be like grasshopper on the TV show "Kung fu" and learn patience . I never did winterize the vehicles yesterday. Oh well, it will be more of a challenge when the mercury drops . Since we're rolling through Saskatchewan and Manitoba, where agriculture plays such an important role in each province's economy, I'm going to take the liberty of subjecting the rest of our crew to a series of "Ag Trivia" type questions for the next little while. Mark, I hope I didn't ruffle your feathers with the factory farm comment . I was thinking more in terms of the chicken and pig farms. My father in law farms down in Sask. and he seems to do OK with not too big a place. In your opinion, what is the state of the family farm?
