7925m (7.9K)

Steady 30min row.

Darren

Congrats to breaking a million guys!!!!!!

Great idea to post what type of workout we did. As I said I did a steady 30min to break a 2:10/500 pace (trying to get used to longer rows again).

October 28 - 16K. Steady state 1:51/500. I'm still recovering from some stomach trouble I picked up in Cairo (and having to use that silly elliptical machine for a week).

Cheers,

Brian

Congratulations.

Ahh ... Saskatchewan, the only place in the world where you can watch your dog run away for three days. I don't think we have any Saskatchwantonians on here yet, do we? It's a shame, it would be nice to have at least one person from each province on board.

QUOTE

I couldn't resist posting a picture of this stuff from Saskatchean. Canola, I am guessing, right Mark? Doesn't anybody grow wheat anymore?

Keep on rowing, only 8 more provinces to go.

Jim

You're likely correct Jim. The picture is either canola or mustard, but considering that the acreage ratio is about 10:1, it is likely canola.
15k for me, I wish I could say it was a fly and die, but it was no way near fast enough for that. I guess a crawl and bawl is more appropriate.

The intent was a 1 hour steady state, started out at 2:02/2:03 per 500m but couldn't hold it past the 30 minute mark. I had to slow down dramatically after that. I will try it again next week.

Way to row, hosers.

Jim

Two rows today for a total of 12.5k. Easy a.m. row 6.5k and a steady state (hopefull marathon pace) in the p.m for 6k. I've only got 2 pounds to go to make it to light weight so I'm hoping the twice a day thing might keep my metabolism raised enough to shed the weight , we'll see. John.

Well we just went smoking through Tompkins, Saskatchewan It must of be harsh back in the old days here. Can you imagine spending a prairie winter in one of these sod huts?

Keep on rowin', hosers.

Jim

Hi one and all,

Congratulations to all those reaching the magic million recently.

I'm a little tired and jaded today courtesy of a late night at The Saddledome last night

Anyway, 11km total for me (Oct 29th)

1km warm-up and then 10km UT2 (2:07/500m, 19 spm, 65% of MHR)

That's it from this household today as "she who must be obeyed" went out for a run in the sun.

Have a great weekend people.

P.S. I think adding detail about your work-out is great, it's good to see what others are doing. There are some fast people out there.
October 29th 30K - 1:50:18.1, 1:50.3 splits. Should have been about 5 minutes faster. Not able to get back in the "zone" yet.

Brian
