Distance interval settings on PM5

Post by DaveFyffe » July 5th, 2016, 6:08 am

I am fairly new to the Erg and using the PM 5 and have the following request for help.

Can we/do we have the ability to set intervals based on distance on the PM5, what I want to be able to do is the following:

set an interval of say 1000m, then a recovery interval of 2000m.

I am following the marathon training plan in the Concept 2 training manual and the VO2 Max sessions in which you have to row at 5K pace for 1000m followed by Marathon pace for 2000m.

Currently I use the undefined rest setting and just have to watch for the 2000m to be added, however I can't then see what pace I am rowing at and have to carry out the mental calculation for pace during the rest period.

If i have missed a better way of doing this please let me know.
