Not bothered PaulS, are you going to ignore the post just above your last one?

It seems now that Dwayne now has 3 options-

1. To row at a competition and show us what he is made of and to stop people like me bitching at him.

2. Do a row using the PM3 variation code, seeing he has had this for a long time and done many top ranking rows but has failed to use it.

or

3. To stop posting times that he can not prove, when we all know now that he has the equipement to prove it.

But hay, what do I know……………………a lot more that some of you by the looks of it.

Dear Chad,

Since your post and his were virtually at the same time (both show as 11:03), and his says that he "has added a user to his ignore list", I think you can fairly assume that he didn't see your post above his, and that he won't see your post asking about it...and I've deliberately not quoted it in this message, so as to keep the aggravation factor down for him.

Assume that he's walked out of the room, and can no longer hear anything you say. When you post to him, you're now talking only to yourself. Enjoy.

Alissa

p.s.: Dwayne has a 4th option. Ignore you.

Alssia

Sadly PaulS did not like what he was hearing, sometimes in life we have to hear things that we don’t want to.

I can't tell you how blissful it is to see that one of the people on my "ignore user" list has posted and to realize I don't have to read it. (I can choose to, but I rarely want to be that aggravated, so mostly, I don't).

Alissa

My vote for the best post in this thread goes to Carl Henrik (#95), for injecting a note of logic, always in rare supply, into the proceedings.

Second best post goes to PaulS for his hypotheis that the dark stranger is John Rupp. Paul and John, a bit like Schwarzenegger and DeVito in Twins.

I'd award the bronze to Sir Pirate, for his unabashed glee when he got a whiff of this nasty business. Almost makes a body want to ship out w/ the old buccaneer.

Tom

Chad,
While I think that you certainly have the right to question Dwayne's times, and I don't think you have been nasty about it, you must also realize that Dwayne has been an active, supportive, nice member of the forum for much longer than yourself. For that reason he has a lot of supporters here.
While he may not have a time that was IND_Ved with a PM3, he certainly has had a WR time observed by a USIRT official. According to C2's rules for world records that couldn't be counted as a world record, but I certainly think that for almost everyone that was sufficient enough proof of his abililties, and the credibilty of the times he posts.
It is certainly amazing the daily meters and times of which he is capable, but there are exeptional athletes in the world.
Even if his times are fake - so what, does that change anyone else's life or what they do? (The only possible exception is for someone who is capable of setting a WR, and even then what does one get for setting a WR in indoor rowing?)
So, enjoy your rowing, do your best and hopefully sometime soon we'll also get to see Dwayne compete successfully.

David
The more I look into this the more I found things I don’t like, issues that do not link together how they should.

I have asked for proof, people have then talked about the IND_V, saying that he has logged times using this. I could log fast times the way Dwayne has, he has had the opportunity to rank a verified pieces using a PM3 and has not used it. I want to know why? I want to understand why?

I am not saying a bad word about Dwayne as an individual, I know he is regarded very highly on this forum; I have not attacked him personally.

It seems to me that the way he ranks times (without proof) is a bit insulting to the people that look up to him and respect him.

Daren
Your responses are very limited in anything knowledgeable. Feel free to throw punches at me, not one of them has landed.
In fact it's the only user I've ever decided to ignore. Amazing!

Chad,

You have my utmost admiration and respect.

Your observations are quite interesting. In particular how did nonathlon and ranking times get so close, and yet different. Were all the times done twice within a few tenths of each other? If so, why weren't just the fastest ones entered? And why doesn't Dwayne compete at erg competitions? He was challenging Graham Benton a year or two ago, and then didn't show up at the competitions then and still hasn't. It's no big deal to not attend erg competitions, but very strange when you have a time listed that is faster than Pertti Karppinen, also challenging GB and then not show up at any of the races.

It's also quite telling that Dwayne has supported PaulS on a number of occasions and visa versa. I agree that Dwayne is a very nice fellow and quite helpful. However now you do have me wondering too, just where his priorities are for entering times and distances in the rankings.

HMMM. have you noticed that while all this chad stuff was posted there was very little Rupp activity. PaulS is on to something here.

There is something else that made me quite uncomfortable. At the end of the 2004/5 season, Dwayne and another rower were very close on the annual meters board, with the other rower being consistently ahead week by week. In the final days it was becoming apparent that Dwayne was not going to catch him.

Then all of a sudden on the last day Dwayne got a huge amount of meters out of nowhere, with the comment on the forum that he had done them earlier in the year and just then got around to posting them.

Okay, all his other meters were added day by day, then this huge magical amount coming out of nowhere gets posted on the annual meters board, right at the end on the last day of the year.

I felt that was a stab in the back to the other rower who was honestly rowing his meters and adding them to the board week by week. I still feel that way and have been suspect about any and all of Dwayne's meters that he has entered since that time.

His meters and times may very well may be as he says they are.

I certainly do hope that's the case.
