I am fairly new to indoor rowing (don't row on water). I am going to train for a marathon, I have the indoor rowing training guide Ver 2 book and plan to use the plan from that. The only problem is that the plan uses a set marathon pace and this is used for most training sessions. The only change I would like to make to the plan is instead of a pace (min/500m) I would prefer to set a heart rate instead, as I would always be having to re-assess my marathon pace as my fitness improves therefore:
My question is what percentage of my max heart rate should I be aiming to use for the marathon?
