30' PB. 230m improvement from previous. Been concentrating on 30' forJune CTC, working a sub-2:12 pace target up from shorter times as 20', 25', and Bingo! Cold start fasted, brought the pace to 2:14 quickly, managed to warm up with no discomfort (using two small breaths per stroke right from the start). Pace negative to 12', flat to 18', negative to 30'. Target distance was 2800m. I called my shot in the Forum Flyers team thread a few days back so that added some useful pressure to get it done. Legs were fine at the end but didn't have even a 30" sprint which makes me think I did this one right.

Did a quick workout in the office gym at lunchtime - bit of light kettlebell stuff - then discovered someone has fixed the erg!

Old model D, on which the PM3 had died. Someone has put a PM5 on there! It's still a pretty grubby old machine and the chain needs a serious clean and oil, and definitely in need of new bungees ...there is almost no weight to the handle return. And the handle is not mounted to the chain properly so it slides up and down the D-link thingy!

But regardless, I jumped on and messed around a bit between sets of kettlebell presses. Then quickly fired myself up for a 500m test

Top effort on that 30' Jack - great to see the plan of increased time at the target pace pay off like this.
