Carleton University finally got three (3) Model D rowing machines!

Since I started rowing last month, they had about five (5) Model C machines,
but they were starting to show some wear & tear, and last week I went to use
them and they were gone. I went and asked, and they said they were replaced,
and sure enough, I check out the gym and cardio room, and viola, I see
three beautiful light blue machines ready for me to break records on!

Sorry, just kinda excited.

I think they are a little more prone to getting in the fan housing and lowering the drag.
PS I went to Ottawa U down the river way back when!
And whatever it is, wouldn't it increase the drag instead of lowering it?

Dust lowers the drag by blocking the air vents.

I was thinking of the dust collecting on the wheel and increasing drag. Funny how we look at things sometimes and don't see the obvious...
Took me a few minutes to figure out the computer though.
Far superior (and more confusing) than the Model C!

wow thats great news... we(glebe) were concidering training at carleton this winter instead of at new body dimensions with the ORC. The problem with carleton was that there wouldn't be enough ergs for all of us to do the workouts in groups which is really bad because we plan to do a million meters during november to march.

so maybe we'll see you around?

Carry some lubricating oil, clean and lube the chain, and clean the flywheel and housing when it gets dirty. It only takes a few minutes. I doubt anyone will complain. If anybody tries to stop you from doing it, just say that you are a certified repairman. Just act like you are supposed to be doing that.

Byron

It overlooks the field house
and parking lot too, so the view is nice, for the most part.

I paid $25.00/semester extra (on top of my tuition), so you're
looking at a fee of $50.00 that will run until the end of the
winter semester - around mid April. It's a pretty amazing deal!

For more info:
http://www.carleton.ca/athletics/progra ... tml
And/or you can call the tuck shop for any & all questions: 520-5655

Cheers, and if you get one, lemme know, we can co-ordinate and meet up!
