A member of an indoor rowing team or club? If so, this is the place for you.

Can this one team row to the moon and back?

Proudly rowed my first marathon today, thought it would be fun to start off the rowing year by meeting the Global Marathon Challenge BUT it won't load onto the online log book. Flash drive recorded it, It shows up, says 'ready to upload' but won't :? . Any other Lunies having problems loading workouts today? Related to start of the new rowing calendar year maybe? Happy to say I've done one now :) !
Congrats on your first Marathon, Steve! Hope the posting problem got sorted out.

I hear the posting meters via C2 utility problem should be resolved now.
Have fun.

Kona2 wrote:Get onboard! The good ship Luna-Tic continues it's galactic journey...and we can't liftoff until your meters are listed! As noted above, the Concept2 Utility looks to need a bit of refreshing...it's almost enough to make me take a look at using the erg data app (could it be a plot??!!). I do like the smartphone cradle that I see is offered....stay tuned for additional reports...or if you already have these tools, report out on them!

Meanwhile, my world has been turned upside down by the arrival of the second puppy less than 24 hours ago. My oldie Golden, Kihei, is in failing health and can't play hard like Kai (the 8th month old Golden) wants to play. This one is named Aerie...after my favorite baseball guy Arenado. I am delighted to introduce her to all of you. danwho is going to help me out while we get the new puppy routine down, and will be doing some posting soon.

So far, four people have completed the Global Marathon Challenge - good work!

Congratulations on the new addition! Great looking puppy... Wish you both many years of happiness.

Image Added THREE more teammates to the Half Marathon Honor Board, including Minnie....and, of course, now that she has thrown down the galactic gauntlet, I will have to do one also. I was planning on it, but still. Nothing like a SHOVE in the right direction!

Bwahaha; happy to SHOVE! I hadn't planned the HM, but decided, WTH, I had plenty of episodes of the current streaming obsession to watch, so pulled up the distance, as opposed to the usual "just row." It was a half hour slower than a couple of years ago ... but, hey, my knees aren't complaining, today, so I'll take the tortoise time.

have you noticed on the new log book there is a page that lists your all time best time you had ranked. Times we rowed in 05 and 06 were amazing compared to 10 years later. Anyway congrats. Guess that means I have to join K2 in an old fashion grudge challenge, you gauntlet thrower you. And to all you other marathoners ditto.

dunno

Does anybody know to turn off spell check on an iMac?

Oh, horrors, I hadn't noticed that "all time best" page ... now I'm really depressed! I guess my fondly remembered "couple of years ago" were more accurately "seven years ago!" when my HM was 1:40.25. But, at least I'm still in the game, thanks to the stellar motivation of C2, and Team LunaTics. Keep calm and keep rowing, y'all.

In honour of K2 and her pack.
Do you know what they call a dog magician?
Labra-cadabra-dor!
You'll have to blame my mom for that one.
Welcome to Speid, Hope I spelled that correctly. This is really a great group of people here. Really nice job on doing a full moon so soon after starting.
Rock and Row!

Welcome to a new rowing season, everyone. Thanks for being the best team on the board!

Hey, Spieg, you've come to the right place for support, encouragement, and a bit of craziness. Congrats on your first marathon! I started half-way through last year, and have really caught the rowing bug with the help of this great group of people.

I will try my first half-marathon next week. Goal: 1,000,000 meters for the season.

Sounds good to me! Thanks, the marathon was a pretty slow effort, but I felt good after and was able to hop back on the erg the next day, so I figure it was a good first attempt. Good luck on the half marathon row! Pop in a movie before your row and just crank through it, it'll be over before you know it! Depending on when you are planning on rowing it, and if you want to do it online or not, i'd probably be up for rowing it with you if you're interested.

This is my first full season so I dont know what all to expect goal wise (only been rowing a bit under 2 months). I'm really eager to stay on the first page of the honor board, so we'll see how that goes. Its definitely going to take some encouragement and a little friendly banter!

If any of you more experienced rowers have any tips for a new guy, by all means, please share! If anyone does any regular sessions around 7am or 8pm EDT online, let me know as well!
