Its all very confusing here at the moment but it seems there are 3-4 tube/train bombs and 3-4 bus bombs. Im lucky that I dont work in London but a lot of friends and family do but it seems all are OK thankfully. One of our clients saw a bus explode right in front of him and as you can imagine he said the scene was pretty shocking, I wont say anymore than that. Not good at all here at the moment, very sad.

But having been at the WTC, and in fact never having left the frozen zone in the aftermath, I know firsthand just how wrenching the time following such a tragedy can be.

Aaron

I have just got home from work. I work 50 ft away from London Bridge Station and there were fears of more explosions, so we where given the choice to say or make are way home.

Very strange feeling riding back through London as there is no buses running in Zone 1, it was like a ghost town vehicle wise. Lots of people leaving early and walking home. No underground system and the over ground trains are not going into the city, just away.
Mobile phone networks are down too.

People that done this……………ain’t even worth talking about, scum of the earth!!!

Sir P
My friend who works in offices over one of the tube stations said things got a bit tense when they handed out gas masks in the offices in case of gas or airbourne bio agents. Apparently, the business has the gear in readiness precisely due to its location.

That friend and other friends that work in the area have been told not to leave their respective buildings. Unless buses and the Tube are running later, it looks like they'll be spending a night at the office.

Both of my sisters have reported in, safe and well. \o/

I too would like to express my sympathy and sorrow for those affected. I have family living in England and I can only hope that those responsible are caught.

I was so shocked to see what was happening in London on the news this morning. None of the US newspapers were able to even include information in their morning editions! I wonder if it has anything to do with yesterday's announcement of the 2012 games, I certainly hope not.

I wish the best for everyone affected by these attacks. Just last night after my run I met some people that had just moved here from England to start working at Nike. It's a small world, no room for all these terrorist attacts. I wish that the small group bent on hurting others would get what they deserve.

Rather than the 2012 games, I would guess that the timing was more aimed at coinciding with the real start of the G8 summit today. Although the governmental heads arrived yesterday, today was the real start of business. That's speculation on my part, however. It might just be a coincidence.

What goes around, comes around. It is certainly a tragedy, but not surprising this has happened.

There needs to be a stop to such aggression, violence and nonsense.

The #1 priority here is to get people in office who understand about bringing people together, and letting people live in peace without harassing, invading and bombing them.

First one I remember vividly was the bomb in the Post Office Tower (now the Telecom Tower) in 1971. That went off three days after we'd visited the, closed ever since, public viewing galleries.

These guys hit each and every one of us by creating the fear that leads to a curtailment of our freedoms and civil rights.
