Re: LUNA-TICS TEAM ROOM: Year-round "Looney" fun.
Cheering Minions, roller coasters, and slingshot gravity assists....very good! Mars or is it Barsoom? We have many places we can visit.
Thanks, danwho, for giving me a break (I'm still on it btw). I am working hard to finish up some of the projects that I have been working on. We are in week 3 of Puppy School, taught by the inimitable Sally Terroux. Kai did well the first two weeks, and then we hit last night's topic: Getting your puppy to stay while someone is creating a distraction. The distraction was that a basketball was rolled across the room. Well, really. What kind of retriever DOESN'T go after the ball - especially if it is the kind of ball you can do a take down tackle on?!
March Madness is almost upon us! That's an individual challenge where you try REALLY hard not to miss too many days (I think you can miss all of six) or you'll be out of the finish. Concept2 draws names randomly of those who do the 5K and 10K challenge on some specific days (there is a list of them in the Chronicles somewhere)...and we ALWAYS have a winner or two or three on our team. Can't wait to see who it is this year, although David A sure has won a lot. And then there's the World Erg Challenge. It's time to sign up for the WEC - and to do that, you'll need to scroll across to Teams, and then scroll down the right side of the page to join.
I'll be back to posting the second week of March - and am going to try not to get myself out of the running for the 25 plus days of the Mudness Madness during that first week.
Welcome to the season of chocolate covered marshmallow bunnies....I'm doomed.

Okay, who wants to get dirty?
Mud Season is approaching
(already here where I am, thanks to some severe storms yesterday).
Choose from two levels of participation:
- The Basic Challenge: Row or ski 5000 meters each day for 25 days or more in March.
- The Advanced Challenge: Row or ski 10,000 meters each day for 25 days or more in March.
This is an individual challenge. You do not need to belong to a team to participate.
Meters must be entered online in your online logbook.
Indoor rower and SkiErg meters only (no on water/on snow meters please). You can combine meters from each machine to reach the daily total of 5000 or 10,000 meters.
Kid's Mud Season Madness Challenge allows kids (aged 16 and under) to participate at 2500 meters.
Adaptive athletes can choose to participate at the 2500m, 5000m, or 10k levels.
You have been warned.
And, thinking of mud ...
Norma, have you seen Shaun the Sheep lately?
Ah! Safe and sound.
I was worried about the little fella with all this mud.
And so glad that Shaun and friends made an appearance at the Superbowl.

Awwww, thanks, Dan! It's good to see little Shaun--always an inspiration for me. Naturally the sheep singing Queen was the highlight of my Superbowl experience and the youtube clip got many a replay.
K2, great to hear from you. May you have a productive break and I hope Kai graduates with high honors.

It's Friday
For those who don't know, this is Sgt. Joe Friday from the old detective show, Dragnet.
But, for me, what's even more memorable is this spoof of Dragnet from the old Tonight Show:

Sadly, I can't pretend that any of this is related to rowing, except
maybe that clappers might be used to cheer on your favorite rowing team.
