Took a week off - we took the kids down to Disney to get away from the cold for a week where I promptly picked up a nice case of the flu... came back Saturday and slept for about two straight days... thought I was feeling better this morning and decided to give it a shot... ran out of gas in 5 minutes... I guess I was not feeling as good as I thought! We'll see what tomorrow brings...

I apologize for my lengthy "AWOL" status. I spent a week in Honduras for the Army and had access to a Concept 2. Now I'm in a different location for about five more days without access to a Concept 2. I should be "traveled out" by the start of the next challenge here in a few weeks. I know I haven't been posting often, but I am still very committed to the team and rowing. Happy that I finally passed a million meters for the season. Amidst my cross training I am trying to consistently get some rowing meters in. I am on the cusp of 4 million lifetime meters and am committed to hitting that number this month. Angela, your posts are wonderful and motivating. I love that someone is tracking it all and sharing it on the forum. I am committed to once again tackle the Mud Season Madness challenge, any others takers? I will probably do the Basic challenge of 5000 meters a day for 25 days in March, although I am considering the advanced challenge (10000m a day). Maybe I will start strong and see if I can maintain it, that may be the approach I took last year; eventually settling on the basic challenge. I have been rowing shorter pieces this year, but striving for consistency. I like that the Mud Season challenge flows right into the World Erg challenge, let's all try to get geared up and have a strong finish to the 2015/2016 rowing season.
