Row Pro Down All Day
Re: Row Pro Down All Day
I just looked and couldn't find it either.
it used to be under preferences - but that has changed to autoload into C2 logbook.
If you check in your purchase history there should be something there using a serial number:
RowPro Home Edition 5
5-user 1-erg permanent purchased Sep 25, 2015 View receipt
Product Key (use this to activate v5 or later): XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
License number (use this to activate v4 or earlier): XXXXXXXXXXX
Status: Activated RowPro 4.300.0.13 in computer serial number XXXXXXXXX
I can only assume that this is a unique generated serial number dependent on local variables, I didn't enter it, so it must have been generated and distributed to DR via the oarbits interface on activation.

Yup, that's what mine looks like. Could the "computer serial number" be the "computer name" I'm being prompted to enter? I'll give that a try.

well, its not mine... not even MAC address or anything hardware related.Steamer wrote:Yup, that's what mine looks like. Could the "computer serial number" be the "computer name" I'm being prompted to enter? I'll give that a try.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME ? It worked. That was it. "Computer Name" really means "Computer Serial Number" It would of been nice if Pete might have mentioned that when he told me he changed the "Computer Name" as he called it. All this down time and hassle over something over as stupid as that. Maybe that'll get fixed in V-5.
Well I'll stop my bitching now and get back to online rowing. I want to thank everyone for listening and helping out. Maybe this thread will help someone in the future if it doesn't get corrected.
Remember folks. "Computer Name" really means "Computer Serial Number" Thanks all.

Re: Row Pro Down All Day
I have recently reactivated so thought I would try to assist.
Initially I could not find the page where I reactivated but - I hunted down an old page as follows:
Open RowPro; Select Activation Manager from the Help Tab; Click the Deactivate Online button; Click the Visit your Online Customer Profile hyperlink.
When I initally went to this page I had two PCs, same name, only one registered. I removed one (or was it both ) then re-registered. No problems since.
This was required after upgrade to Windows 10.
