Shawn posted it on the uk site, but it doesn,t get much attention, so I put it here. Won,t comment here, very nice watch....

Indeed, pretty stupid, also from himself, 70 seconds is never a max sprint. Sub 1.00? The power close to that pace gets so high with the cube increese, so unlikely. He is already super fit and trained.Balkan boy wrote:Why didn't that guy in Concept2 shirt give him some instructions?
I think this guy's true discipline would be 100m with a rolling start. He could go sub 1:00.
Sorry Edward, the comment are ofcourse bullshit, bit yours is not much different. We see a 29 second gap!!!! between fastest and slowest stroke. Don,t think its possible to pace a piece any worse. He pulls 1.12/13 right away, with a few pacing tips. So pulling its this way is not lightyears away.Edward4492 wrote:I don't know....I get tired of hearing how various guys are "only" 5 or 6 seconds off of Leo Young's WR. Sorry, 1:16 is a very respectable time. But it's LIGHT YEARS away from 1:10. Just ask Ross Love, the only guy to legitimately threaten the all time WR with a 1:11.9. Those last two seconds appear to be incredibly difficult to get.
Somehow, I find it hard to take this thing as a serious WR attempt. I regard it as just another TV spectacle. With the guy going all out with a tremendous burst of power, fading in the middle, and flopping on the ground at the end, it is better theater than a really well executed 500m time trial. And only a few in the audience would be aware of the full irony of the situation.Balkan boy wrote:Why didn't that guy in Concept2 shirt give him some instructions?

It's hardly "light years".Edward4492 wrote:I don't know....I get tired of hearing how various guys are "only" 5 or 6 seconds off of Leo Young's WR. Sorry, 1:16 is a very respectable time. Nice video- but I think the 500m time will be better with the guy I postedBalkan boy wrote:Extremes are usually interesting, but I'm more impressed by something like persistence hunting then lifting a big rock once.
