Strapless r 20, DF 140
PR rate 20 18:31.4- so only 1 second away- actually not too bad feeling today- HR only to 167 (much better than the 180 4-5 days ago)- I allow myself to "sprint for the last minute (because I'm strapless usually can only rate in the upper 20s during sprint and therefore only get to mid 1:30s)
I think I'll have a new Rate 20 PR within 1-2 days!

Do you think you could use those well developed muscles of yours and pick up a cleaning cloth.....that screen of yours really needs some work. Nice job of the row.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
It's been almost two years since I have been able to post a legit PB on this board and today I can!
I last set my PB for the HM back in 2011. Five years ago! And I haven't had a PB on the erg since the winter of 2013/2014. It's taken me a while to figure out how to balance OTW and OTE in a way that is sustainable, and I think I'm getting the hang of it now.
My old HM PB was 1:20:39 (1:54.6 pace). Today, I managed to hack 46 seconds off of that with a 1:19:55.4 (1:53.7 pace).
Workout Summary - Dec 06, 2015
--_|_Total_|_-Total-_|_--Avg--_|_-Avg-_|_Avg-_|_-Avg-_|_--Avg--_|_-Avg_|_-Avg
--_|_Dist-_|_-Time--_|_-Pace--_|_Watts_|_SPM-_|_-HR--_|_-%HRR--_|_-DPS_|_-SPI
--_|_21097_|_79:55.4_|_01:53.7_|_238.4_|_24.8_|_165.9_|_ 86.5% _|_10.6_|_09.6
It was a hard row. I just kept counting it out in 1000m blocks. It was usually about 95 to 97 strokes each block. I maintained really good control of the pace, only varying by a few tenths of a second through the whole row.

I think I will now go drink beer until I fall down.

Re: New Personal Best! Brag About That New Pb!
I PB'd in my HM today as well. A far cry from Greg Smith's excellent effort, but I am very happy with it nevertheless. Pulled 1:23:28.1 (1:58.6). Better than my May PB by 2:11 (3.1 splits). Better than last year by 3:21 (4.8 splits). Clearly I am benefitting from doing a lot of UT2 steady state this year. I also did this at a HM challenge at Row House NYC. I rowed stroke for stroke with one of the instructors. The community environment and my competitive instinct definitely got me to push in a way that I would never have done on my own. Nowhere near the top of the board, but a bit improvement in endurance from this year's training regime and from all the encouragement at Row House. Best. - Chris

Congrats Greg, to a great row getting your total Sub 80 min. That´s a nice goal to aim for.
Congrats to your sub-2:00-HM, Chris, that is also a nice mark to break.
