So I took the advice and installed the 6.99 for mac and it worked with connecting to logbook and RowPro under el Capitan
However after a couple days I was getting more and more corrupt card errors up and to the point that I was forces to "clear" the card with the promise no data would be lost. hmmmm.
Well I did it and it looks like my 830,000 lifetime meters have been erased.

I am wondering if this was a coincidence with the 6.99, the new logbook, both or neither...

I'm not understanding.
The installation of the Concept2 Utility 6.99 on the Mac will not fix anything with RowPro. You should NOT ever run RowPro and the Concept2 Utility at the same time.
The Concept2 Utility (not to be confused with anything inside RowPro or the DigitalRowing Logbook) does not force you to "Clear" the card.
It may offer to "rewrite" the card, but if it does, it makes a backup on your computer. It may ask you some questions about workouts it can't figure out who they belong to.
If you need assistance in finding said backup from the Concept2 Utility, let me know via email (please not PM on this board).

I've been unable to get the Athena reader to work on El Capitan. Which Omnikey do you recommend? The 3121? Does it work now with El Capitan? I'd buy a different card reader if I knew it worked on El Capitan.

I can't tell from this thread if the utility is now compatible with El Capitan. Please advise.

http://software.concept2.com/utility/Co ... ity699.dmg is compatible with OSX El Capitan. But not with an Athena card reader which isn't supported.

Hello, I have dowloaded the patch 6.99. Trying to plug the PM4 directly into Macbook Pro. The Utility will not recognise the PM4 "No devices connected". I have re-booted. Do you have any advice please?
