I know this is too narrow-but I suggest 'Indoor Rowing' I always have to clarify what I do-not rowing on the water-just inside.

The thing is that you also make oars etc, so 'The Rowing People' gets my vote.

grams

It's got that nice verb/noun double duty, but it's not the most graceful swan on the pond.

"Rowing" is beautifully simple. Too bad it's such a visual tack-on to the logo.

IMO, the "Concept2 Rowing" logo looks like a typo - is there something missing from the message? That is one of the reasons why I voted for "the rowing company". It simply looks better.

And I also like the fact that by using "the rowing company" tag, Concept2 is being clearly defined (in my mind) as a company that specializes in all things related to rowing.

Is "Concept2 Rowing" a company, a rowing team or a fan club? The message is too ambiguous IMO.

I wonder what it would look like to switch positions and text size of "The Rowing Company" tag with the Concept2 logo?

plink,plink

Mark

I could go with just rowing if it was more like the logo from the rowsport website.

So that Rowing isn't just hanging out in the middle of nowhere.

I like the simplicity of "Rowing" and the artistic balance show by Malor with the above logo.

Paul Flack

My two pence. I prefer Concept Rowing simple and encompasses the whole concept of rowing.

I voted for 'The Rowing Company' because I was worried with the balance of the 'Rowing'.
However, Malor's solution removes that concern.
One request, whatever you do decide on, please, please, please don't let it be 'Rowing Solutions'
I'm heartily sick of the over use of that phrase on this side of the pond to cover anything from cleaning products to houses

I also voted for 'The Rowing Company' because I it look better.
However, Malor's solution would now get my vote!

This solution addresses my biggest concern about simply using "Rowing." Using the lines helps balance the logo.

I'm still partial to the longer phrase though. I think that whoever suggested, "The Rowing People" had a good suggestion.

I don't like "Rowing" because it sounds like a company slogan rather than a description of what the company actually does. In other words, someone who knew nothing about the company would probably look at that logo and think "okay, so this is a company where everyone is pulling their own weight, working together towards a common goal, just like rowing. Gee, I wonder what they do?"

"The Rowing Company" is much less likely to be misinterpretted.

Dave
