UPDATE to Concept 2 Logbook
UPDATE to Concept 2 Logbook
I am sure towards the end of last season I read somewhere that Concept2 were going to implement an upgrade/overhaul of the online Logbook. If my memory serves me correct it was due for May 2015 with the start of the new season.
Now did I imagine this or is the Logbook going to be updated/revamped soon?
Yes it works so no need to fix what isn't broken but just thought I had seen a revamp is on the way.

I knew I hadn't imagined it!!
Email received 5mins ago. Everything sounds good can't wait to see the updated logbook.

Re: UPDATE to Concept 2 Logbook
Pardon my cynicism, but I wonder how long it will take to get enough of the inevitable bugs out of it to make it safe to use. One thing I am fairly sure of is that it won't be compatible with the old system that I use on the laptop that I have my C2 utility on. I had to use that since my desktop, with a reasonably current system, kept refusing to work with my Athena reader, so I couldn't get the data from my Logcard.
The basis of my skepticism is the slew of problems with the PM5 that I have been reading about on the forum ever since it came out almost a year ago.

It is what beta testing is for to get almost all the bugs out. i wonder if this has been done, hope so!!

The new logbook update
I have already posted this in the General sub-forum as a response to another post, but felt that it was more appropriate for it to be on this sub-forum.

Good point. I remember now that you said that last week, but I hadn't read back through the thread when I responded to today's post about the announcement.valgozi wrote:Hence my if it ain't broke comment at the end of my first post.

It's all ephemera in the long view. The lousiest pulpwood paper in the world is a superior medium for longevity if not for total recall. zardOz.

Re: UPDATE to Concept 2 Logbook
Looks like a few changes but nothing I would use.
For some reason my row types are random between "indoor rower RowPro" and "Slides RowPro" for all my 30min rows or "Standard RowPro" for all the 12min cooldowns which I guess could be a problem for some people.
Were those comments always there ? looks like its putting my comments that are getting entered into my RowPro LogBook there as well so the total number of strokes and average heartrate are being posted.
C2 appear to still be avoiding making the major changes although I see the column for the different rower types HAS been added to the rankings now. Very few Dynamic in the 2000m rankings, you have to go down 500+ results to find one.
Still really poor postings of verified rows with IND still dominating the entries.
I do like to upload to the annual meters board however, it provides motivation with your daily average and projected finish meters for the season and provides a permanent record from year to year.

Indeed it is happening right now.

We are currently in the process of updating the Logbook.
This means it is a read-only state for the next few hours.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

The next "few hours" appears to have been an understatement. However, we're nearly there now (fingers crossed). We appreciate everybody's patience, and hopefully we'll be up and running again by about 5 pm ET.

Re: UPDATE to Concept 2 Logbook
Yes still in progress just checked, any upgrade is appreciated.
I'm interested to see what changes have been made.
I guess in terms of the Annual meters board and major changes would need to be synchronized with the start of the season on the 1st May.
Something closer to the LogCard summary would be great, not just total meters and the daily average meters but the average pace as well for those meters.

It does look much prettier than the old system.
The only bug I've found is that some of the old team affiliation stuff has gone missing.
