Thanks, Danwho, for the stats duty reprieve....puppy duty (of all kinds) rearranges your life for sure. WIth luck, Kai will find the whoosh of the erg to be sleep-inducing....
We're three weeks out from the start of the Holiday Challenge! Getting the reindeer list ready...so if you have a favorite reindeer name....better let me know! Of course, I'll go back and check the Reindeer Chronicles! There are always some names that just don't work. Thought we might have some snow last night here at Reindeer Central....but no.

Good stuff, Ron - I would not have known there was a special significance to that series of numbers. Sousa is a good one with Veteran's Day coming up, too. Lots of good marching music! We've had a lot of musical themes this week...as we trek down Abbey Road...
Captured numbers early this AM, and was distracted by MANY (mini) things for some time. There was the harvesting of the ubiqui-zucchini to be done...just when you think you've captured all of the alien pods, there are six MORE under the frosty vines. But I digress.
Fitbit is starting a November Challenge that is very much like the Holiday Challenge Concept2 has in place. In this one, you can have your steps count towards one of the charities that they have chosen. I don't know how many of us have a Fitbit, but I thought it was a good opportunity. Here's the blurb:

Darn, I knew I should have rowed today.
Love the fireballs.
Love the fireballs.
All In A Day's ERG: Team Progress Thru 11.7.15
Goodness, gracious....great balls of fire! Since the fireball producing meteor stream looks pretty active through 12 November, YOUR opportunities to view and to "earn" a fireball are still out there. The skies near Rocky Mountain National Park were so clear last night - Milky Way was awesome. I saw a couple of meteors...but no fireballs. With the incident rate listed at one to two spectaculars per hour, and temperatures at 16 F .... I wimped out after 20 minutes. Brrrisk.
For those who want the people's view (aka USA Today's take on things), here's a link to their article on the meteor stream: http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/scie ... /75050902/

Oh my, she's gorgeous. Reminds me of a tiny polar bear (ignore the tail) in this pose; all she needs is a bottle of classic Coke. The light and shadow look like VERY early morning. Ugh. Fun to be outside, perhaps, if you have that much fur.Kona2 wrote:... have survived week one of new puppy in the house! Discovered that snow is a favorite....
