With Garmin FR210 Ant+ is recording and FIT file is created which I can upload to TrainingPeaks showing HR, SPM, Wattage.dr3do wrote:I have installed on my Android smartphone, which is ANT+ capable, a tool called ANT+ Plugin Sampler. With this tool, which "spoofs" to be watch, I can connect to my PM5 and get all sort of useful data. Like watts, SPM (cadence), stroke count, drive length (cycle length), speed (only m/s, not pace m/500m)…

For me that means, the FIT profile is still implemented, but it is maybe buggy?

Sounds good. Unfortunately the FR210 is an outdated product – in the country where I am, some leftover pieces are sold for about $200.Livio Livius wrote:With Garmin FR210 Ant+ is recording and FIT file is created which I can upload to TrainingPeaks showing HR, SPM, Wattage.
Do you use a SkiErg-PM5 or a Rower-PM5? And… which Firmware version you have?

I'll try to get a FR610 (about same generation like FR210) which and supports "ANT+™ in the Gym" too.

Re: Getting more data from my PM5?!
PM5 (RowErg) and FR610 are working together greatly.
Via Garmin Connect it looks like this: https://connect.garmin.com/activity/826242672
Via Sport Tracks (mobi) it looks like this: http://sporttracks.mobi/activity/8851363

How do you connect the Garmin FR210, pressing the light button or what?
I tried just starting an activity, but only gut HRM to the Skierg (pm4) but no data to the watch..
Re: Getting more data from my PM5?!
It's quite simple. Follow these steps every time you want do a workout and you want to get it logged onto you watch.SSo wrote:How do you connect the Garmin FR210, pressing the light button or what?

Turn the PM4 by pressing the menu button --> select More Options --> select Turn Wireless ON --> select Or, Connect with ANT+ --> wait until your watch shows up in the display --> choose your watch --> confirm --> finished.
Now your watch is connected to the PM4 and data will be transmitted to the watch. Choose a workout on the PM4 and start to erg…

Re: Getting more data from my PM5?!
Nothing. With the established connection all data will transferred to the FR210. The moment you start to erg, the timer on the FR210 should start by itself.SSo wrote:Thanks for your reply, think I did that on the PM4, but what do I do on my FR210?

Re: Getting more data from my PM5?!
Do you guys know whether the Garmin Fenix 3 can be connected to the pm5?
I've tried to connect it but was not successful. Maybe I was doing wrong.
Thanks

No, you didn't it wrong.hirbel wrote:Do you guys know whether the Garmin Fenix 3 can be connected to the pm5? I've tried to connect it but was not successful. Maybe I was doing wrong.
The F3 simply doesn't support the needed ANT+ profile (FE = Fitness Equipment) to communicate with the PM4/5.
The PM5/4 simply does not support the needed ANT+ profile (PWR = Power, CAD = Cadence, S&C = Speed and Cadence) to communicate with the F3.
I asked (begged) Concept2 development for this, but from their point of view it's up to Garmin to… and from Garmin's point of view it's Concept2 who has to…
Well… at the end we – the customers – are the losers. Makes me
